Dr. Erhan Ergene, MD

Drove across the state to see Dr. Ergene. Took time to listen and understand my concerns , and helped get my seizures under control.

My son had seizures at a young age. He was going to another doctor there at OSF. Unfortunately that doctor was not exactly mentally fit in my opinion. He ended up leaving and Dr Ergene at the time didn't do pediatric neurology. I begged him because my only child had been to Iowa city Mayo clinic and I was scared. He was getting worse. He finally agreed and he spent quality time with Ethan. Dr Ergene made sure he checked anything else that could be causing his seizures increase. Finally his meds he put him on starting working. Dr Ergene never gave up and worked hard to make sure my son would get better. My Ethan is now a Man. He's 19 going to college and we will always be grateful for an Angel that agreed to be my son's neurologist when he was only 6. Thank you Dr Ergene!

Incredible doctor and staff!

Out of all the doctor I see Doctor Ergene is the best one. He listens to me and helps me with my problems.

I couldn't give Dr. Ergene anything but a four or five star rating in every area. The brain surgery was well worth it!

Dr. Ergene and his staff are very unkind. He does not listen and has a horrible bedside manner. He is crude and tactless. If Dr. Ergene can not figure out a quick solution to a patient's problem, he will blame the patient and dismiss them. Save yourself the time, pain, and money.

After seeing neurologists for over 40 years and never being able to get my absence complex (petit mal) seizures under control, within 1 year Dr Ergene was able to find the right medication cocktail to allow me to finally say I am seizure free! He always takes the time to answer my questions and gives me insight into how medications are not only helping with seizure control but how can be affecting my health in the long-term. I have now come to realize that individuals who have epilepsy really should take the time to find an epileptologist if their insurance will cover the cost. I drive almost 100 miles to see Dr Ergene - and he is worth every mile!! All of his staff are very professional, and I have yet to find any reason to give this doctor, his staff or the facility anything but an excellent rating.

Overall it's a nice place. He is a kind Dr. listened and took the time to. But after that we felt like we didn't get any information. On seizures or why they were happening. We feel like he listens and orders meds. If they don't work they up the meds. Not sure what is common with seizures. If this is "normal" because they can't tell you why?
