Dr. Eric Abrams

Eric Abrams, DMD., D. ABDSM
Dr. Abrams earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1994 and completed two years of advanced training in a general practice residency at North Shore University Health System on Long Island, one of the country’s premier training programs.
Dr. Abrams was most recently in private practice in East Meadow, New York. He has also served as acting chief of the Dental Department at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation. Dr. Abrams is currently an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and teaches the subject of “Snoring and Sleep Apnea” to the dental students. Dr. Abrams also lectures at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. He is on staff at North Shore University Health System on Manhasset, Long Island.
Dr. Abrams is on the editorial board of Sleep and Breathing, the …international journal of the science and practice of sleep medicine. Dr. Abrams is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and serves on the Dental School Curriculum Committee which is developing a standardized curriculum regarding sleep disordered breathing for dental schools nationwide. He also contributes to the Recommended Reading List Task Force, charged with reviewing the sleep medicine literature and creating a resource to further members’ knowledge and prepare them for board certification.
Dr. Abrams is board certified in dental sleep medicine by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Mercer County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Abrams’ interests and areas of expertise are in cosmetic dentistry and in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.
