Dr. B. is a very compassionate dr...has helped a lot of people everyone loves him

Under no circumstances would I ever recommend this doctor to another human being. Throughout most of my visits he was generally very rude and combative. I really thought I liked him when I first started seeing him, but then he began to really change. Getting any type of help with my problems from him was worse than pulling teeth! I asked for referrals to other doctors who I believed would be more capable of helping my condition, but he would not allow it, saying that he wanted to treat me himself. This happened many times. I asked for a referral to a Fibromyalgia doctor. Dr. B said NO that he wanted to treat me himself. I asked for a referral to a Neurologist. Dr. B said NO that he did not feel that to be necessary. I asked for a referral to a dermatologist. Dr. B said NO. He later recanted on both the dermatologist and the neurologist and I have seen the dermatologist now and will see the neurologist next month. I had suffered for months with a rash which had been called shingles.… Nothing was helping.I was very surprised upon seeing the dermatologist as he looked at my neck and told me he was sorry to have to tell me that I have MRSA. It has also come out on other parts of my body and I am presently beig treated for that and feeling some better already. My question was why Dr. B did not recognize MRSA? He works both in his offices as well as the hospitals. My personal opinion is that he DID KNOW and just let me suffer. The same has been going on with my spinal column, neck and arms. Unbearable pain! I went on a DEA drug program just so I could get some relief and not be hassled all the time about getting pain medication. Well, turns out the 'hassling' never stopped! Seems that most times I saw Dr. B he would hassle me about taking the the pain medications and even go into details about what was going to happen to me over taking it should I ever run out of it! He described in detail about how I would call in and try to get help and would be denied it! Then he talked about how I would go into drug withdrawal and how he would call in something for the nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, instead of another medication! I'm almost 60 years old, have never done the drug scene, have no intention of starting now, desperately needed something for pain and having to go through what I did to get anything! I believe he used to doctor in a prison or something and he now seems to "Judge" all of his pain management patients by his past prison days. Although these comments are my own opinion, they also reflect my treatment with Dr. B. I have constantly gone downhill during the years I have been with him. As time goes by, I will post to this session again as I am seeing other doctors at this time. Strange though how I'd seen him for one particular problem for 4 months and he had helped me not at all. I saw a dermatologist one time and it is making all the difference in the world right now! I don't want to bash Dr. B for sure, but personally, once your attitude towards helping people gets to where his is at, it could be time for a career change or something! I would like to inquire of anyone reading this as to whether or not they are considering lawsuit against him. Please respond to this rating page in a rating, etc. to make known your plans to possibly do so. I am definitely considering this as a possibility myself.

Dr.B is so compassionate to all of our family very informative...calls or writes a letter to explain things has controlled my husbands and my pain in a very professional manner haven't found anyone that doesn't love this man hope he stays around a long time we in Fletcher love ya!!!!!

This doctor's dealings with patients is beyond abysmal. He is rude and combative. I was in extreme pain and needed a faxed prescription for a pain management rehab for the next day. This doctor got on the phone at 4pm and for the next 10 minutes yelled at me about the amount of work he had, the number of files on his desk, my selfishness in expecting a prescription (for EXTREME pain, not foolishness). He appeared to be unstable to both my husband and I during two visits with him. There is something very wrong with him and we believe he needs to retire from medicine and obtain mental health care. Never have I encountered a physician that spent so much time and anger ranting on and on at me for a badly needed prescription. His behavior is simply unbelievable - I still can not believe the rant and apparent mental instability of this doctor. He has lost patients to other physicians for similar behavior (according to my new physician's front desk staff). Avoid this doctor. I hate writing… negative comments about other. BUT, in this case this physician's mental stability is in question and MAY put a patient at risk.
