Dr. Eric Lawrence Brown, MD

Please do NOT go here. Worst experience ever. The doctor had a full conversation on his apple watch with his brother WHILE he was giving me a Pap smear. I was mortified and felt extremely uncomfortable. Most of the staff, besides two are unprofessional and seemed too busy talking to each other than paying any attention to me. I was 15 mins early to both appointments, but still waited over an hour to even get called back. Another 20-30 to get seen by someone. The nurse practitioner was great, but I refuse to go back after my experiences.

Please please listen to me. This doctor is unbelievable. He is never there when u make an appt. He rushes thru the appt, he insists he does not need your medical records despite your medical history and continuously gives you high fives throughout the appt as if that's reassurance. He speaks negatively about all local hospitals especially Northside. He puts emory on this pedestal and insists only the best doctors come from emory. His comments and conversation is inappropriate and unprofessional. Please do not waste your time with this doctor. He shouldn't even have a license to practice.

He is not a good Doctor he should loose his license

Where do I start called left message to schedule appointment after getting busy signal majority of the day. 2 days go by no one calls me back to make appt. I call back appt scheduled at Smyrna office. On day appointment I arrive 15 mins early to fill out paper work. I sign in and to MA's having personal convo tell me to have a sit they will be with me. 15 mins go by no one has called me up. I go back up to desk and advised that I am a new patient and still have not received my paper work to fill out. She says oh and just hands me paper work and goes back to her convo again with other employee. I bring paper work back up when I'm done and shes oh you didnt have to fill all that out( well if you would've told me that I would not have). about 20 mins later nurse calls me in. I sit and wait for the doctor so I thought. about 20 mins later an NP comes in. Usually with a new patient I have always seen the Dr the 1st time. Not here!!! After my exam I am told that I need to go for an… ultrasound! So on my way out I speak to the front desk. She tells me it's gonna be $25.I advised her I don't pay for annuals. She says well on you card it says $25 co pay, I advise her once again on annuals(preventive care) I pay nothing. ( She calls insurance & they tell her the same) Had they ran my insurance a week earlier when i made appt they wouldve known that as I provided them all the info. Then she states some one will call me from hospital to schedule appointment and go over Insurance. 7 days later no call from the hospital nor Dr.Brown's office. I call in to follow up and am told to call back & speak to that girl that I spoke to when I left because she's off today. I ask why? shouldn't it be in the file!! Person on phone says she doesn't even see anything in my file about a referral(probably because she was too busy talking) !! Strike 3 I will find a new office

Too bad Dr. Brown's nice staff has to work with him :(

Well for one doctor brown is the best obg doctor he deliverd all my familys babies my babys my sisters my couzine. Hes been in our family for years thairs no one I would trust my femal problomes to then doctor brown. Hes the best much love and respect out to him

This doctor has used unapproved IUD's from India or Canada and passed them off as FDA approved devices with the names Mirena or Paragard. I got one from him in 2009 and didn't know until it made me gravely ill. If any woman out there received an IUD from this doctor I would advise you think carefully about whether you want to keep it, or if you are considering getting an IUD inserted I suggest you find another source. Either way it's your choice but I would think your health is worth knowing the facts.

This doctor is a JOKE. I would recommend that all new patients take their service else where. As a previous review stated, Dr. Eric L. Brown pretends to be empathetic. He pretends that he is really concerned with your health. When in reality it is about that mighty dollar. Dr. Eric L. Brown performed surgery on me. Well he was suppose to, but instead had a intern do the surgery. Removed the WRONG organ. I was a patient of his practice since 2007. He staff changes like the seasons. They fail to follow up on test results. They try and charge your insurance ridiculous billing codes. The office is so unprofessional. He caters directly to low income family. Regardless of where his practice is located, this Dr ethical morals are so low. He need to loose his license and NEVER practice medicine again.
