Dr. Eric Paul Carls, MD

I have seen Dr. Carls for about 5 years now and he has always been fantastic. I feel comfortable in his care and confident in his advice. He is friendly, but professional; direct but non-judgmental. I highly recommend him and often do.

My opinion is that Dr Carls is the best doctor that I've ever seen. He takes the time to explain things to me when I don't understand. Also if something is going on that he might not be able to fix (or cure) then he sends me to someone who can.

Professional and knowledgeable with a pleasant demeanor. Explains things clear and concise and seems to have patients' best needs his priority.

Have seen Dr. Eric Carls at the Ramsey clinic (Allina). He does spend time with you, does lots of tests, but when it comes to results, there is no follow up with him, as he never makes a phone call back, so you can get more questions answered. Have had to wait to see him, but usually is on time. Maybe I expect more from my physician, than what he provides.

Dr. Carls spent time listening and seemed like he actually cared. It was nice to finally have a doctor spend more than 5 minutes talking about my concerns.

Dr. Eric Carls was supposed to be a back specialist, but he could not answer even my basic questions. Some answers he gave me I later found out from my surgeon were wrong. As a result, I wasted a lot of my time and a lot of my money for nothing. I wish I would have read the reviews on Dr. Carls before I saw him - I've since found out I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience with Dr. Carls.

I have since found out that Dr. Carls gave me incorrect information regarding my injury. Furthermore, he refused to coordinate with my disability insurance. His advice was to find another doctor that would. Do not make the same mistake I did - Do NOT waste your time and your health with Dr. Eric Carls.

I did not feel at all rushed, he seemed to devote a nice block of time to talk to me. He seemed to know a lot about the specialty field that I was asking about.
