Dr. Eric Carr, MD

To start, Dr. Carr is an arrogant man. If your health issues are more than just a cough or runny nose, forget about receiving any meaningful care from him. One time I was at my local pharmacy to pick up my prescription and the pharmacist advised me that Dr. Carr had called the prescription into the wrong Rite Aid. I called Dr. Carr while still at the pharmacy and told him he had had called the script into the wrong pharmacy and I asked him to please call the script into the right pharmacy where I was present. At that time, Dr. Carr proceeded to tell me that I was, and I quote “a pain in the a**” I said, did you just call me “a pain in the a**” and he stated “yep, you are a real pain in the a**”. I continued to see Dr. Carr basically because I hated having to switch to another doctor because of the convenience of his office to mine. As I got older, I started to feel lathargic, depressed, unmotivated, not sleeping well, and a whole host of other symptoms related to low T. I asked Dr.… Carr on numerous occasions if he would order a blood test for me to have this checked, and every time he brushed it aside and said it was unnecessary. My last visit with him, he entered the room and without so much as saying hello, he stated the following: “Listen up, we won’t be changing any medications today, we won’t be tweaking anything we have been doing” The following day I thought to myself, enough is enough and I fired Dr. Carr. In hindsight, I should have fired him years ago. Here’s why: I started seeing another doctor within the GBMC practice. The new PA that I am seeing has been wonderful. On my second appointment, I made the decision to put my foot down and demanded that the new Dr. order a blood test for low T, and they did so. When the assistant called me to give me the results, I almost dropped the phone. My T numbers were over 150 points below the lowest range number. The new assistant immediately set me up to see a specialist endocrinologist as my numbers were off the charts low. She was a tremendous help. I have started therapy to replace the T and feel 100% better about the care I am now receiving. I can’t help but wonder how much better my quality of life would have been over the last 10 years if I had only fired Dr. Carr sooner. - Do not schedule an appointment with Dr. Carr. If you are already a patient of his, I advise you to take caution of his advice, and most certainly be your own advocate because Dr. Carr cares about one thing; Dr. Carr. Consider yourself warned.

Dr. Carr is an excellent doctor; very knowledgeable and accurate.

The staff is pleasant. The wait time to be taken back is minimal. Once back it may take 15 to 20 minutes before the doctor sees you. He's very "to the point" and doesn't smile. I am usually in and out of the whole thing from the time I walk in to the time I walk out it takes less than an hour. I like him because there is no fooling around. He takes care of the problem and you're done.

Not the doctor for me - no greeting, do not feel good in a doctor relationship as one should.

I've seen Dr. Carr for over a year and he is an extremely dedicated and hardworking guy. I never felt rushed when I saw him and he always took time to answer my questions. He makes a point to call with test results, even if its after normal business hours. He seems like a very great doctor. My only issues with him were wait times and the ease of getting an appointment. Be prepared to wait 5-6 weeks to get an appointment. If you're sick they might have room left for same day appointment, but you will wait 30-45 minutes to be seen. This office sees a lot of people so patience is key.
