Dr. Eric Kirtwei Chang, MD

Dr. Eric K. Chang obtained his medical degree at the University of Illinois
College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois and trained in Pediatrics at the Loyola
University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. He then completed his
pediatric endocrinology fellowship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor,
Michigan. He is board certified in General Pediatrics and is board eligible in
Pediatric Endocrinology.
Dr. Chang's fellowship research focused on identifying developmental
programming effects of maternal obesity on the offspring's adiposity and
metabolic inflammation using a mouse model. His clinical interests include
diabetes mellitus, obesity, growth problems, thyroid disease, and calcium
disorders. He is a member of several professional organizations, including
the Pediatric Endocrine Society, Endocrine Society, and The American
Academy of Pediatrics. He also volunteers for the Juvenile Diabetes
Research Foundation (JDRF) and the American Diabetes Association
diabetes camps. Dr. Chang …resides in Indianapolis, Indiana and enjoys
spending his free time playing volleyball, hiking, and traveling.
Conditions treated include: diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, growth
problems such as short stature, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, pituitary
disease, early puberty or delayed puberty, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia),
obesity, and bone problems.
