Dr. Eric Neil Coffman, DO

I believe this is a doctor I seen years ago moved and came back stumbled on this page looking for new doctors but I think I’m going to see if doctor Coffman is excepting new patients. Since it not to far from where I live now. It’s been a long time since I been to his doctor office but online says it’s the same building I been before.

DR. ERIC COFFMAN DOES NOT HAVE MORALS. HE LIES TO YOUR FACE AND DOES NOT FOLLOW UP. HIS STAFF ARE RUDE, THE OFFICE IS DIRTY AND THERE ARE MANY OTHER GREAT DOCTORS BESIDES ERIC COFFMAN. IF I COULD PUT NEGATIVE STARRS I WOULD. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING TO HIM. HE IS DEFINITELY A SCHMUCK

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Coffman’s for over 5 years. He has consistently provided quality care that has vastly improved my health issues. No matter how busy the office, he never appears rushed while seeing me, and thoroughly answers any questions I may have.

I truly believe every review on this blog. This doctor charged my insurance company $15,000 for a week stay at ST Marys Hospital Livonia. He is an evil little man who will talk to family members about your treatment without your permission. Run far, run fast.

As an M.D. myself, (who has also been a patient many times) I am embarrassed to say we share the same profession! He was & did everything I trained for 11 yrs. (almost 20 yrs. ago) to NOT be & do! As a 5/5 star doctor (vs. his 2.7/5 “star” Dr.)., I not only agree that seeing him was the WORST experience w/a Dr. I’ve ever had (he didn’t just NOT listen, but cut me off, as if I wasn’t even speaking after I uttered just a few words! I, personally & in my opinion, found him unprofessional, condescending, yet unknowledgeable, & inadequate in his physical exam (if what he did HE considered a physical exam!) No one I know goes to a Dr. to hear a monologue! On behalf of the great majority of Dr.s who ARE compassionate & chose to dedicate their/our lives to HELP people, I apologize for all the people who wrote reviews saying things like “seeing him was the worst experience!” But, I concur! My visit with him was 1 of the worst experiences of MY life! In my opinion he should be sanctioned for… his condescending bedside manner, lack of knowledge, baseless accusations & conclusions; & perhaps most importantly what I felt was an abuse of power!

I'm not crazy about the length of time it takes to get appointments, but he's pretty good. Office is kind of hidden from view. At the very least, he has experience dealing with addiction unlike another specialist I saw that basically had none.

Worse experience ever!! I discovered the Doctor likes to discuss other patients outside the office. Office is very filthy/nasty!!! Plan on waiting at least an hour or more, even with an appointment. He treats everyone like they were sent there from the court.

I can't believe how horrible my "treatment" experience was from this so-called doctor! I could not talk because he was always talking over me, and, at my very -last- visit -yelling- at me!!!! He wanted me to make a decision for something I was unsure about and instead of at least tapering me off my suboxone if I didn't do as he wanted, or to find another doctor, he actually stopped my suboxone cold-turkey!! Well, laugh was on him because, I didn't have to take it all as prescribed, so I was able to stretch it out until i was referred to someone else within a weeks's time, who is absolutely wonderful!!! I didn't even -need- my chart sent over from his dated 60s looking office! But, your primary care doctor better know you well, and test negative over what his lab is saying about you. Thank goodness I didn't go through any physical withdrawal because of him. But, how terrible to cut off someone's medication when they -know- the kind of pain you will suffer. I think any positive… reviews must be from people that were paid, because people in that waiting room do NOT like him- they just need their suboxone and are tolerating him to get that prescription. Also be prepared to wait a long time- my first visit time totaled almost -4- hours because it had to be a walk in. My new doctor was an appointment, and I was there maybe -1- hour. If you choose to not listen to these reviews, have some deep pockets, a lot of time on your hands, and be into verbal abuse! I'm SO grateful that I NEVER have to see him again, EVER!!!!!!!

HORRIBLE so-called doctor!!!!! Worst experience EVER!!! Overheard staff talking about patients multiple times! Will not let you talk- actually YELLS over you, threatening to stop treatment of you "cold turkey" if you don't do, i.,e go inpatient , what he demands, whether you can afford it or not. NO COMPASSION whatsoever. Should have known it would be bad experience when firsts appointment wait was over 3 hours just to be seen for about a total of about 10 minutes. Do what you want, just don't say you were not warned. Even talking to patients in waiting room- they all are in fear of him, but they need their suboxone. Just the worst experience EVER!!!!!!!!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Coffman for over three years now... He is a very caring and knowledgeable Doctor!! As is everyone from the receptionist to the nurses and practitioners... They have been very kind and listen to what's going on with my health. He has helped me immensely in my struggle with my addictions... And I am forever grateful. If you really want help... Then he is the doctor who will help you to achieve your goals!
