Dr. Eric Joel Eichhorn, MD

I was impressed with the measures Medical city took to protect themselves and the public from the spread of Covid19. During my appointment, I wore my mask and gloves. Dr’s Medical staff members in his office wore their protection gear, except for Dr Eichhorn. He didn’t wear a mask. When he was breathing on me while listening to my heart, was when I should have said something. I only hope he was cleared before seeing patients that day.

Dr. Eichhorn is, indeed, a TOP NOTCH doctor. He and Medical City Dallas, I believe, saved my life. Several months before going into the hospital I believe I had a heart attack earlier. I remember the day. Bad, bad pain. But... Being stubborn and not trusting Big Pharma and the entire medical establishment, as well as being as broke as a church mouse, with no insurance other than Medicare, I just stupidly (hindsight) tried to ignore the heart attack. I had at least survived it (or so I thought). I took some aspirin and carried on. I began to hurt horribly later down the road though. But I just didn’t go to the hospital until weakness and edema in my legs forced the issue. BIG mistake! I developed a severe case of congestive heart failure after the heart attack with unbelievably grotesque and PAINFUL edema in my lower legs. I was in bad shape with a severely low cardiac ejection fraction of 5% - 10% when I finally (and fearfully) checked into Medical City’s emergency room. They… did not expect me to survive. At least => Five to six different doctors and nurses (during approximately a 6 week period), *kindly* informed my wife that: “you realize your husband’s not going to make it, don’t you?” That was a nasty thing to say multiple times to my wife, I believe, but to my knowledge Dr. Eichhorn was NOT of those people OVERLY alarming my wife. Anyway (forgive the sidebar)... it has been almost FOUR YEARS AGO now that I was expected to die. Along with many other doctors and nurses, I credit mainly Dr. Eichhorn for both saving my life and continuing to save my life. I’m still in pretty bad shape... but I’M ALIVE, thank God! And I am very thankful for that, Dr. Eichhorn. Truly. Dr. Eichhorn, in my estimation, appears to be at => the leading edge of cardiac medicine. He’s as good of a heart doctor as you’re ever going to find out there in my opinion. I recommend this doctor highly!

For a Cardiologist he gave up on my father, and when he died he did not bother to send a note of condolence, would not help on the Death Certificate. My father was in this Doctors care for about 6 years and stated several times "there is Nothing further we can do for him"..... Not something you want to hear from your fathers cardiologist.

I love Dr. Eichhorn's attention to detail and his genuine concern for his patients.

I was referred to Dr. E for congestive heart failure. Over the years and countless procedures he has earned my complete respect, confidence and gratitude. One time, I was in hospital for a non-cardiac issue when my defibrillator started firing. I came around to see a room full of unrecognizable first responders and not a clue what was happening. Amongst all the white coats, there stood Dr. E. and immediately knew I couldn’t be in better hands to make it through this horrifying event. That’s how much confidence I have in this man! I think you will too.

Worst doctor I've seen. He doesn't care about patients it's all about the money for him. Would never recommend. He also put me on unnecessary medications that my other cardiologist is trying to take me off of. His office staff is just as bad.

Dr. Eichhorn is a knowledgeable doctor. He doesn't do unnecessary tests. But if he orders a test, he is available to discuss the results of the test just after the test is done. He changes blood pressure medications to find right one for you if you have side effects.

I think Dr. Eichhorn is best doctor in our state bar nun always explains what needs to be fixed I feel like I can talk to him and he pays attention to my concerns.
