Dr. Eric J. Feuchtbaum, MD

As always, Dr. Feuchtbaum was great. He quickly understood my pain, identified its cause, and prescribed a course of treatment. He also maintained eye contact with me and a friendly disposition throughout my visit. I could not ask more from a doctor.

Dr. Feuchtbaum is extremely knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. He spent time discussing my situation and provided me with treatment options. I never felt rushed and he answered all my questions/concerns. I feel 100% better. All my pain issues were resolved. Thank you so much Dr. Feuchtbaum!

I’m 6 weeks out from my lumbar fusion and couldn’t be happier with the results nor the care I’ve received with Dr. Feuchtbaum. He didn’t jump immediately to surgery, but texted his colleague to see how quickly he could get me in (the next day!) to explore pain management options. He’s super knowledgeable, eager, compassionate, and incredibly good at what he does. His MA, Maddie, is always responsive and super on top of it as well. You’re in good hands with Dr. F and his team! Highly recommend!

I would give more stars (10-+), if there was an option. My pain was at a level I could barely tolerate when I first saw Dr. Feuchtbaum. He called his pain management doctor right from the exam room, and got me in an hour later for a epidural shot. Two weeks later, Dr. F. performed my surgery and has changed my entire quality of life! He guided me through the entire process, and was informative and compassionate throughout my journey. Thank you to Dr. Feuchtbaum, his office team and all the staff at Virginia Hospital Center. I found Dr. Feuchtbaum to be friendly and personable. He explained why the source of my pain is likely my hip rather than my back and referred me to a hip specialist. However, the medical assistant who saw me before Dr. Feuchtbaum came in was very unpleasant, to the point of being rude. She fired questions at me like a drill sergeant without giving me adequate time to respond. She was horrible!

Rushed from beginning to end, 5 minutes max for this 'first' visit. Unfortunately no bedside manner and very rough doing exam for hip pain. I hated that and I wished I had never come. I wasn't a candidate for his surgery so he got me out of there asap. This is probably the worst doctor's visit I've ever had. I didnt even care that he didnt have time for my questions.

Very knowledgeable. While I was there, he contacted the doctor who referred me to discuss options. I only waited a few minutes to be called back in by the medical assistant. Once I was in the exam room, I found the pace to be frenetic. I’m giving four stars because there are no female doctors in the practice. It’s 2025 not 1965.

Very professional and polite. An accurate diagnosis and reasonable treatment plan. Excellent care.

Dr feuchtbaum is knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and you can see him thinking about what makes the most sense for the patient. Great doctor!!
