I will give my best to convey what you will achieve and experience if you are fortunate enough to become a patient of Dr. Eric Fier. I write my first review because if this can help one person reach him to have his level of help in the field of Psychiatry, it is worth trying to put words on paper as to who Dr. Fier is, stands for and his ethics of practice. You will be in the hands of the most talented Psychiatrist out there and I say this with the highest of confidence. No one with his level of intellect is as laser focused as he is on the patient as well as the family at all times to create the safest most accurate plan for his patient, in this case my child. The reason Dr. Fier’s work is at a level above all, is due to his love for his patients and his self-motivation for the success of all. Years of work together, as that sounds long and difficult but not with Dr. Fier, his confidence added with his natural humor, he was gifted with this as well, will hit you in a way that you… know your child will not only be ok, but also he will thrive beyond expectations— only because his Physician believes in him. Circling back to the genuine care at the core of the heart, this drives Dr. Fier to continue to research, team up with other Physicians, counselors, school visits, whatever it takes to get there for the patient, he goes at full force and you will join his lead. Fier gets it. He's sharp and funny but sensitive and empathic and kind. He knows his meds but also is a solution-focused therapist. I was hesitant to see a psychiatrist, having had many negative experiences with most being just med-pushers and checklist-followers. Fier was the exact opposite and I am incredibly grateful for that. He is the ONLy shrink I will EVER see.

Dr. Fier is amazing with our daughter and has helped us more than words can say. He believes in the natural approach when possible and if medication is needed he is very cautious.

Dr. Fier is unlike most of the psychiatrists out there. He is truly invested in understanding me as a WHOLE person, not just in fixing my symptoms. He doesn't run to medicate me every time I'm hitting a rough spot. He always presents me with a wide range of options, which often include non-medication choices. He knows a lot about herbal and naturopathic treatments, and seems extremely comfortable with Complementary Medicine approaches. He has made a huge difference in my life. I thank God, every day, for sending me someone who invests the time and energy into understanding me as more than just a diagnosis.

Dr. Fier literally gives his life to his patients. You feel how much he cares in everything he says and does. There is nothing I can't ask him and nothing I can't say. He understands me and accepts me and makes me feel like I am the single most important patient he treats. He has made a huge difference in my life and makes me want to help others like he has helped me. He always knows how to make me laugh, even when I feel like crap. I can't thank him enough for being just the kind of doctor he is.
