Dr. Eric John Froines, MD

Dr. Froines has a great reputation and I am sure he is a fine surgeon. He did not have even moderate experience with the condition we saw him about. He admitted having just ready about it for the first time getting ready for our appointment. We brought a copy of the international standard of care for the rare condition that he skimmed during our appointment. With no experience or meaningful research on his part he declared it was a simple procedure and he could do it despite the overwhelming evidence that he did not posses the experience necessary. He proceeded to put in our request for an out of network referral and at the same time told the review board it was not necessary despite his lack of experience and contrary to the recommendation of our gastroenterologist and every leading expert in this particular field.

Dr Froines is fine surgeon with an excellent bedside manner.

Unbelievable care. I was, naturally, nervous when we first met with him -- we weren't sure about what the surgery entailed -- and he was thorough and gentle. More importantly, when the time came for the actual surgery, I always felt he had my best interests in mind . . . even delaying one procedure to see if we could do it an "easier" way. The surgery went well and we particularly appreciated Dr. Froines personally delivering the test results in the hospital a few days later. (His support staff were wonderful as well!)
