Eric Gearhart, a board-certified physician assistant, joined Beaufort Memorial Lady's Island Internal Medicine in 2014. At the practice, he works in collaboration with the practice's board-certified internal medicine specialists and nurse practitioners to prevent, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illness in adult patients.

BackgroundMr. Gearhart came to the Beaufort Memorial Physician Partners primary care practice after two and a half years at Beaufort Family Care. A retired Navy officer with 26 years of active military service, he is a former battalion medical officer for the 1st, 3rd and 4th battalions at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. During his military career, Mr. Gearhart also worked at Naval Hospital Beaufort, where he was the only physician assistant to be named department head of family medicine, and served as medical officer of public health at Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba.
Mr. Gearhart and his wife, Angela, have two children. He enjoys music and motor sports.
