Dr. Eric Giza, MD

Dr. Giza is not trustworthy, deceptive, misleading and arrogant. I went to him after a first surgery on my ankle didn't go so well at a previous doctor. He has all these fancy awards and travels a lot, but he is arrogant and does not listen to the patient. He performed surgery on my ankle without fully telling me what he intended to do, and it took having to get a medical malpractice lawyer involved to know the full truth and get good quality care from him. As a result of his surgery, I had to have a third surgery to undo and repair what he caused problems with. He negatively impacted my quality of life without caring and I had to go to the E.R. multiple times during post op. He is nothing but a horror story waiting to happen to someone else too, and I can not strongly enough say to stay away from U.C. Davis Foot and Ankle if you value good quality healthcare and a doctor you can trust - because you cannot trust Dr. Eric Giza.

I was referred to Dr. Giza, and he performed surgery on my ankle. I wish I had never had the surgery. I’ve had massive complications and every time I call he says it’s normal and does not care. I’ve had to go to the ER 3 times because he hasn’t done anything.

Dr Giza is a butcher and a liar. He was supposed to perform a simple "bunion" surgery on my left foot. Instead, he cut and re-attached my second toe with metal pins. I ended up with a hammer toe. I could hardly walk. I have never been in so much pain. I did PT for one year. I still have pain (constantly) and can only walk 1 mile (before I could walk indefinitely). And I still have the bunion. Three other doctors said there was nothing they could do for me. The pain just gets worse. Now I am having other health issues from not being able to move for 1 and 1/2 years....
