Dr. Eric Simon Goldstein, MD

I was referred to Dr. Goldstein for an ongoing digestive problem and told by my referring physician that Dr. Goldstein would be able to help. Dr. Goldstein diagnosed the problem and referred me to a surgeon. I saw him a few times. He is so kind and compassionate, and was able to diagnose the problem accurately and quickly. I am grateful to have been under the care of such a wonderful physician.

During an unacceptably brief post-procedure discussion, Dr.Goldstein made reference to the possibility that a more serious issue might be present. Without addressing properly my stated concerns, Dr. Goldstein interrupted our discussion and stated he had to attend to another patient.He left the room leaving me with more questions than answers. I will never go back there again.

Before seeing Dr. Goldstein, I had had three tough months with several digestive issues. After many tests, another specialist had given a probable diagnosis of IBS and had left things at that. Dr. Goldstein prescribed a new test and was able to identify the issue. After 2 weeks of antibiotics I got rid of the problem. He and his staff were also wonderful in scheduling the test at very short notice. He also answered a message I sent him. And he is extremely courteous—even a nice conversationalist!

I was very pleased with my experience at East River Gastroenterology. Each and every one of the staff members is courteous and professional. Dr. Goldstein is one the most kind, compassionate doctors I have ever come in contact with. He is highly knowledgeable and very patient in listening to your concerns. He always goes above and beyond and works tirelessly towards a healthy outcome. I feel like he is genuinely concerned about my well being. I will forever be grateful for God for directing me to such a wonderful Doctor.

Dr. Goldstein saved my life. 5 other gi’s had no clue what was wrong with me, and didn’t even bother to examine me. dr. G only needed 20 min to solve it. I will never waste my time with anyone else. He is on another level.

Although this doctor is quite knowledgeable in gasteoenterology, his Mount Everest sized ego offsets it. When I was his patient he did several things that hindered my treatment including hanging up on me in my time of distress and never even a hint of an apology! He thinks he is above you because he is a "doctor" and you're not. Stay away!

Very warm, caring, thorough physician that takes time to listen to his patients. Unlike so many doctors, Dr. Goldstein spends time. He is an excellent diagnostician and a very kind man as well. I refer many of my patients to him as well.

I don't know about other reviews but I can only speak for myself but I must Dr Goldstein is one of thee best doctors in NYC he is caring , loving and very knowledgeable about many diff things the office staff was very helpful

I saw Dr Goldstein for a while. He gave me a colonoscopy and left the hospital. I never had a Dr not talk to you after a procedure. It was rediculous and the girls that run the practice are extremely rude. The Dr does not call back in a timely fashion. Needless to say I left the practice!!

Very caring, warm, concerned, thorough and empathic physician. Also, very responsive and helpful. I have recommended him to many and they have all been very satisfied. Staff is great as well.
