TLDR? Dr. LeFave is the best colon surgeon. He’s an expert, has excellent bedside manner, and knows what he’s doing. Detailed Version: A few years ago, I had a fissure that healed on its own. It was extremely painful, but I wish I had met Dr. LeFave then. In November, I was diagnosed with a fistula after experiencing symptoms. I met with Dr. LeFave and other surgeons to discuss how to resolve the issue. I felt most comfortable with Dr. LeFave and his staff because they were all very engaged and attentive. Dr. LeFave explained that the fistula could require more than one surgical procedure, depending on the first surgery. In my case, the first surgery revealed a fistula track that needed additional drainage. I had a seton placement for about 6 weeks. The 6 weeks were uncomfortable, but with the medication, diet plan, and home health tips from Dr. LeFave, I was able to manage my recovery. For my second surgery, I hoped for a fistulotomy, which is the most effective treatment for… permanently resolving fistulas. That’s exactly what happened. My recovery after surgery 2 was significantly more pleasant compared to the first, but I’m taking it easy to avoid aggravating the wound. Overall, Dr. LeFave has been instrumental throughout the process, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a colon surgeon.

One of the most amazing health experiences i have ever had. I thought that i would have to go through a painful process when initially wanting to address the issue of hemorrhoids., but thanks to the intelligence of one man and his amazing staff i have had a pain free experience and nearly completely done. I decided to go with Dr. Haas for my diverticulitis surgery after doing a lot of research online and trying to find the best colorectal surgeon. I live in Austin, but it was well worth the drive to Houston to have Dr. Haas perform my surgery. It has been one week since I had surgery, and I can say that I am healing very well and do not have any complications post-surgery. In my opinion, he’s one of the best in his field. That is why his office is always busy with patients, both local and out of town patients such as myself. I highly recommend him!
