Dr. Eric Ricardo Haynes, MD

I’ve Ben seeing Dr Haynes for 3 years.He has sent me for MRI.He has monitored and prescribed medicine to help me.His office Is gorgeous.Staff friendly .I’ve Ben his patient for 3 years.He was recommended to me by one of the top neurologist In the State of Florida.He’s a very nice man with a positive attitude.The wait time Is short .I gave him 5 stars.

At first he seemed decent, but he doesn't actually care. FOR TWO WEEKS, I phoned and wrote on their Patient Portal after his PA, Rob, left important information out of my chart, and treated me like an idiot.He continued a medication that I told him, in no uncertain terms, gives me intractable migraines -- meanwhile, neither Dr. Haynes nor Rob even responded to me, and it's been two weeks. The PA operates under the doctor's license, not his own, and the doctor is ultimately responsible for those choices. Oh, and something interesting: the PA stated I can't have another appointment for a month (huh?) and that the migraine-causing medicine is "what the doctor wants you on, honey." Excuse me? He never even asked the doctor, and I'm not a pill-seeker. I have eight years of pain mgt with an actual GOOD doctor to show that. Seriously, don't bother. You'll have to deal with incompetent PA's and a doctor who could care less. They don't even take responsibility for... anything, it seems.

I've been seeing Dr Haynes for 6 months. Most knowledgeable dealing with my pain from fibromyalgia, ra, oa, and lupus. I could not get through my days without his help. Thank you, Dr Haynes.

Wow, where do I start, I accompanied my husband to this place. The doctor is very rude, short and dismissive with my husband, I suppose he can’t afford to retire yet, but wish he would. People on pain management don’t want to be on pain medicine but have to, it would be great if only caring physicians practiced and the burned out uncaring physicians go away.

Dr Haynes has done nothing to help me whatsoever. I can't even get in touch with the doctor or any doctor for that fact because they don't have their voicemail either set up or it's jammed up. My pharmacist have been calling them for 2 days and they have been closed during business hours. What kind of doctor which seems to me that he doesn't even care about his patients I will never go back there and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

at 1st my mother was feeling poorly by the staff that he had on hand in the Venice office but since complaints to the main office those persons have been removed and he has a great stuff now he is a very kind funny and thoughtful doctor give him a chance and if you have issues with a staff call the main office and let them know because he does care about his patients deeply

I don't understand people he gives prescriptions for people who are in pain and God bless him for that I guess some people don't realize how bad pain can be and that some people do need something to take the pain away it's not the doctor's fault if some people abused the prescriptions that he writes so don't blame him

No bedside manner. I felt like just another faceless patient. He seemed burned out.he was impatient with me as a was describing my back pain . We just didn,t connect.it seemed like we were not communicating..

Do not start with Dr Haynes his staff is inept. Refuses to do prior authorizations. I understand it is frustrating for the doctors. Try being a chronically I'll patient living alone dealing with rude staff.I hate having to be on pain management but it allows me to walk. The true nightmare is how degrading his staff in Venice makes you feel. ,especially the younger secretary. Go else where . I suspect Dr. Haynes is burnt out.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: WHERE HAS DR. HAYNES GONE? I am not able to drive or I would swing by his office, because I've been calling since before Thanksgiving and no one has answered the phone in the NPR office. Dr. Haynes may be for some people, but not me. His personality is different every time I go there. He's unhappy, snotty, lectures you on things you have nothing to do with (smokers leaving butts on the ground outside), or just has the nurse ask the questions, comes in to ask your pain level and then writes you a script. I had no idea he had given me a drug that is highly addictive until I went without for a day and got really sick. I do like that his office staff checks your drug level (now that I know why), but to feel as if you are just an addict is off-putting.
