Dr. Hume is the doctor we all hope to find. He is patient focused, thorough, kind and has surrounded himself with the best team in Philadelphia. 25+ years ago I was lucky enough to draw the long straw after an accident and get Dr. Hume as my surgeon. He repaired my badly broken femur, which is holding up beautifully to this day. 7 weeks ago he and his team performed a total left knee replacement. I'm walking unassisted, exercising at my gym and walking without a limp, finally. Dr. Hume is a dedicated, talented surgeon and a very fine man. Highly recommend he and his team.

I have watched my mother slowly decline day by day. I have called and begged for their help and they talked to me like Im bothering them. He replaced her hip then unfortunately dislocated which caused a larger problem down the road. She went back to work and few weeks later she was unable to bear wait. So we went in and they said that her blood work and cat scan showed an infection. The process of finding out kind and then getting back in to see him is a five week process. Although the worst part is that her pain gets worse and worse by the day. Now they won’t give her a refill on pain medicine so she can spend ten days dragging her leg around and cry in pain. After watching the way this doctor has treated my mom my advice is to never trust him to be the physician to do your surgery

penn medicine is all about making money went to hume for cyst on knee did an asperation nothing drained gave me cortizone shot lost half of it when he put it in.told me to come back in one week when i went back they wanted another co pay i assumed it was covered by the first refused to bill me ihad no money or credit cards with me to pay them got a call from humes office apologizing said they would set up an ultra sound appt never heard from them.people think penn is the place to go because its a teaching hospital they are wrong

Rude Rude Rude, i send 8 test to this Dr. Hume said if you can not help me, please do not make me drive over to New Jersey on a bad knee. They told me when i got there that i had to do x rays even know i had mri's , just cause they wanted more money out of me. Dr. said he could not help me, What a waste of time. Save your money do not use this Doctor...

The doctor's appointment desk takes two days or more and still counting just to get back to me to get a return appointment Dr. Hume ordered for me.
