Dr. Humphreys effectively conveys a sincere desire for the patient's well being, in a friendly way, and volunteers information that may enable the patient and family to understand the procedure more fully. I find in him a rare combination of ability, knowledge, and bedside manner. He went out of his way to ensure all the bases were covered, collaborating with other doctors to guarantee that any potential risks were adequately mitigated. That sounds very dry, but suffice it to say he did more than you would expect, advocating for the patient well beyond any other anesthesiologist I have ever encountered. If you want solid, relevant, useful, accurate information before surgery, and above-and-beyond follow up afterward, this is your guy.
