Dr. Eric Iversen Jones, MD

I had my cataract surgery with Dr. Jones. It was a positive experience. My eyesight has improved. The surgery was very fast and recovery was not bad at all. I highly recommend him to everyone.

No social graces or bedside manner - kind of cold and weird to patients - staff call him Mr. Personality cause he is strange and hard to get to know. He screwed my friends cateract surgery by making the incision too close and he sees the incision scar tissue the rest of his life. Bad Doc

I had a recent visit with Dr. Jones. His tech assistant was wonderful. Dr. Jones was quite hurried and in and out of the room. He left abruptly without giving me an After Visit Summary (AVS), an explanation of the medications he prescribed, or fully answering my questions. He didn't give me or offer me any handouts or educational materials for what he was about to tell me. He mentioned a severe diagnosis and the possibility I would need surgery--and I was shell shocked. He made less than caring comments like: "When was your last eye check up?" and direct quote..."Don't tell me...(pause) you've never had an eye appointment." I assured him I had---since I have been wearing glasses for a while now. But his demeanor was one of anger. I felt really bad and shamed, like he was blaming me for what happened with my eyes--which I think is not good for someone who takes care of anyone, and especially HIV AIDS patients who already bear stigma. I assure you I am not an idiot I have doctoral level… training, and I work at Legacy Good Samaritan on staff. He treated me like I was an idiot. I called back with questions after my appointment about the meds, I got a tech at that time that was hurried and stressed, who lectured me with nearly the same kind of dismissiveness. These folks are obviously overworked...or something's not right. I have complained internally to hospital management. Hope you get them on a good day when you go there.
