Dr. Eric Daniel Kalish, MD

I went to see Dr Kalish for an inguinal groin hernia. I showed him the hernia and within seconds he put his thumb and pushed it with force, no warning and I felt extreme internal pain. I soon passed out and woke to a wet towel on my head from my wife who witnessed it all, and I was told an ambulance is on the way. After tests and EKGs from the paramedics and hospital I was told I passed out from the blunt pain that he did with force on my hernia and I was released. I told Dr Kalish, while in the stretcher, I got weak when he pushed in the hernia, and he responded, “That’s impossible”. My new surgeon and family physician couldn’t believe he did that. So much for the people that had good luck with this guy, first time to ever faint in my life. Thanks Kalish and what were you thinking that day?!

Dr. Kalish is top notch and has a great "bedside manner." After our initial meeting and his diagnosis of a large hernia, I had every confidence in him as I prepared for surgery. I was not disappointed. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Kalish is a good doctor and excellent surgeon...however the staff at his Wilmington office are impolite, arrogant and act as if the patient is the problem for their obnoxious behavior.

I have had (4) procedures/surgeries by Dr. Kalish. He had no problem taking time to answering questions and explain what we would be doing. I appreciated the education.

Very good surgeon but you need to follow up with him on details. For instance, he will order tests but never call you with results even when action is necessary. He seems like he is just too busy. Office staff seems overworked and unfriendly.
