Dr. Eric W Kaplan, MD

His bedside manor is somewhat lacking. However he listen well . I his way I feel he did show compression. I was very depressed last Winter and his treatments did help a lot to improve my condition.. I had depression for 40 years. This time is was far worse than usual. I thank him for his help. Please do not use my name.

Dr. Eric Kaplan is a psychiatrist who actually KNOWS his med's; studies his med's thoroughly and has attended the top schools in the nation. His modalities and approaches (with ECT), saved my life. He has always been punctual, responsible/professional. I see that his knowledge of his field & of ECT is far higher than your incompetent County doctors. I have had a dozen e.c.t.'s and each one I felt reassured that Dr. Kaplan is an expert in his field, & that I am in good hands.

My son and I meet with Dr Kaplan, he was so down to earth spoke very honest and didn’t try to push a lot of treatment and pills on us. I am so grateful he was able to squeeze us in.

A very down to earth, no nonsense doctor. He is very compassionate, but will not get real emotional about what's wrong with you. Very objective and tries not to rely on just medication as the only way to treat

He mistreated my family member. Saying how she doesnt seem depressed, how she doesnt need this treatment even though she is severley depressed. Also made comments saying that if it doesnt work this time then its not going to work at all. Even though that treatment is suppose to be ongoing and a forever thing. I dont see why this place keeps him around. He must hate women or something.

When I finally sought help and told him my story (which has been published in a book carried in major bookstores and Amazon), he looked at me and said “So you had a f——-d up life...who cares?” The attending nurse and other staff said that they wished he would stop saying this to people. He has caused me irreparable harm and destroyed the last 7 years of my life because of this.

WAS GIVEN INVEGA SHOT I BECAME BED RIDDEN FOR 2 YEARS IM STILL REAL SICK EVERY DAY. I WAS A HEALTHY GIRL NOW I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I WILL LIVE

This Geriatric Psychiatrist is bad. He has no compassion, nor any patience with older people and their families. He was rude to me and told me if it were up to him my mother would not be kept alive, because she had Alzheimers Disease. Well thank goodness it was not up to him. I’d like to check back with him when he’s sick and see how he feels about it then!

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Kaplin for many years. He has always taken time to listen and she is comforted by him. My Mother is 95 in her lifetime she has been treated for anxiety and depression. I believe he has never over medicated her and always took the least traumatic approach. We have never had a issue with appointments and always have seen him in a timely manner!

Dr.Kaplan is my only sourse of help when i need it.He'been through all my stages of depressions that have been terrible to me I trust him with my life.i have no oneto talk to that can understand completly but him.

Dr. Kaplan is a wonderful Psychiatrist! He has a comforting personality. He answered all my questions before I could ask them and put me at ease of the ECT procedures that were going to be performed on my loved one. I liked the fact that he did not waste anytime in scheduling the ECTs to help my loved one start to feel better! I must say, my loved one is 200% or more better than what he was a few weeks ago. When I met with Dr. Kaplan the day after my loved one was admitted; he had a plan ready. I was impressed. So, my feeling is, if you or your loved one needs to have ECT, Dr. Kaplan is someone you can trust.

Dr. Kaplan has absolitely no bedside manner. If you don't agree with him he gets very angry. He is very abrupt, wants to get the sppointment over as soon as possiblr. He is rude, arrogant and has a God complex. According to a nurse at the psychiatric unit he is mediccal director of, half the staff is afraid of him.

Very angry if you dare to disagree with him about treatments tests ect. Couldnt wait to get away from him. wrong diagnoses given

May be jumping the gun since I've only had 1 appointment with this doctor but first impressions are lasting. Absolutly zero personality. Totally emotionless, no smile, and gave the distinct impression that he didn't care. Felt as though I would have received better feedback talking to a wall. If the 2nd appt. is the same I won't go back.
