Dr. Eric Charles Klawiter, MD

I highly recommend Dr Klawiter. I’ve been seeing Dr. Klawiter for 6 years, beginning just after I was diagnosed with MS. Dr K immediately got me on a DMT, which, I believe, has been the critical component of keeping my MS under control. Dr K is personable, attentive and intelligent. I really appreciate his willingness to discuss new MS research & treatments and his focused attention during each appointment. I feel that he always spends enough time with me, answering all my questions & helping me understand the state of my MS and what he recommends. Dr. K and his team are also super responsive. Many times, I’ve reached out to both my PCP and Dr K with a general issue (not necessarily related to MS). Almost always, Dr K (or his nurse) responds faster than my PCP. At a big medical establishment like MGH, it’s hard to find a doc who is caring and compassionate as well as being a leaders in his or her field. Dr K is all that - and more.

Dr Klawiter of MGH is one of the most arrogant Doctors I have ever meet in my life. He has his secretary practice saying his last name with her so you say it correctly, because he gets mad when people say it wrong. He told me that I had a very rare brain issue. I asked him how you get that kind of brain damage and he said that you get it when you get to much sodium put back in your body to fast. He asked where I got my sodium level fix in a hospital setting, I told him MGH and the meeting was over. He knew that MGH gave me the brain damage and didn't want anything to do with me. CPM causes you to stutter, you get cramps all over your body. Your fine motor skill are gone, and worst of all you have no short term memory at all. Doctor Klawiter would make my wife and I wait hours to see him thinking I would just go away. He offered NO help to me at all. The worst doctor I have ever meet. totally into himself and just a complete arrogant useless doctor.

Dr Klawiter at MGH is an excellent doctor. He is very smart and extremely thorough...he accurately diagnosed a serious problem that my other doctors (at a different Boston hospital) had missed for several years...
