Dr. Eric Jon Leestma, DO

Dr. Eric Leestma has always been helpful and knowledgable. He listens carefully to my concerns and I never feel rushed.

Dr. Leestma has many years of experience and it shows when he takes care of my family. He has been our family physician for years and is always there when we need him. The office staff is very nice and whenever someone in the family is sick, there's someone in the office to see us.

Dr Micah leestma was very short didn't really address the issues I was talking about. Just wanted to give out pills. I will not be seeing him again!

This man is so arrogant and self serving that I seemed to be a distraction in his daily routine. He dresses like he slept in his clothes, talks more than he listens, and his staff is rude as well. Wait times were short, facility is low budget and not welcoming. Get some sleep, and at least comb your hair and dress the part if you are going to play doctor. I was also misdiagnosed and had to interrupt him to get a word in. Don't waste your time, find someone who cars and is willing to listen to you.

Most disconserting is to learn that Dr. Leestma has an entirely separate practice in Munster! While the Nurse Practitioners are much better to see, Jean Smith especially, I find it bizarre that none of the staff in the Demotte office are associated with the Munster office. This is just weird. If I was rating Jean Smith or Sharon Johnson here, their ratings would be much higher.

Dr. Leestma made the correct diagnosis for my illness and got me the proper medication within my first visit. He was kind and compassionate and had the time to really listen to what I had to say.

Dr. Leestma is the most impersonal doctor I have ever experienced. He will rush you right through your appointment so fast that you forget what you came in for in the first place. He doesn't see you as a person but as a dollar sign. On the other hand his staff is kind and accommodating. I would highly suggest going to Frances Jean Smith RN also at Leestma's practice. She is wonderful she never makes you feel like she is in a rush, she is always willing to put in time and thoroughly discuss whatever it is going on. Avoid Dr. Leestma at all costs. You will mean nothing to him. My entire family can attest to this.

Dr. Leestma only cares about the money. You could be bleeding in the waiting room or having a heart attack but if your insurance premiums are not up to date, or if you don't have the exact amount he and his staff of evil witches will leave you there to die. He looks like Big Bird with A D D.
