He dismissed the lived experience of a Black Queer woman, suffering from chronic pain. Do not become a patient of this man, unless you want to be dismissed, and mocked by an arrogant doctor who thinks he knows more about your body than you. Not only is he an arrogant doctor, he has a horrible bedside manner, no sense of cultural competence, and doesn't keep up with the latest research related to fibromyalgia. I've seen Dr. Liro for fibromyalgia for the past two years and over time, I've never really felt heard by him when it came to my experience with pain and fibromyalgia flares and even concerns with my cognition/ brain fog. He always thought it was related to something else. But, I still stuck to his “treatment plan,” thinking maybe I'm doing something wrong (because I know fibromyalgia improvement takes more than just medicine) Today, after he dismissed my concerns that I've had a 3-month flare-up of my foot (Stiffness and pain), as me needing insoles, WITHOUT a follow-up… question... I finally told him I felt he wasn't listening or hearing me or taking my concerns seriously. He then proceeded to place his paper down, and mock me, asking, “Am I listening to you now.” He then tried to pacify me by asking to examine my foot, which I declined. I was so frustrated, I just walked out. I deserve more from my “doctor/specialist.”I will be finding someone else.

I have discoid lupus for 21 22 years. He wanted me to get another rash and come back to c him. He had my paperwork stating all my labs it’s not like this comes and goes. He refused me treatment. Didn’t listen to anything I said. My skin still hurts badly. Just wanted another opinion. These doctors today young generation r horrible. Someone show me one that listens without kicking u out of the room

I recently seen Dr.Lirio, and let me tell you; he’s a lousy Doctor, and he could care less if you we’re dying. He didn’t bother to explain that he found arthritis in my right knee..Also I messaged him on MyChart, and his grammar and punctuation wasn’t the best.

Took me 5 months to get appt and spent 3 minutes with him. Talked to me like I was an idiot and explained nothing to me.

Gave me a diagnosis for a condition that is usually monitored by a Rheumatologist. However, he told me my PCP could manage the disease and prescribed me the max dose flexiril (30mg) to be bedridden for 20 hours a day. Needless to say I found another Rheumatologist who actually treats my disease. He gives Ohio Health a bad name.

I will never go back. He didn't listen when I mentioned issues, forgot to put in referrals he told me he'd do (had my PCP in the end), and failed to do basic testing for the disease HE DX ME WITH. When my symptoms go with multiple related diseases with very varying health risks. I've already told several people not to go to Lirio. Awful, awful specialists. NOT EDS/connective tissue disorder friendly, either. Only thing he did right was switch my sleeping pills - which my PCP could have done.

He's an excellent physician. He's very caring. He spends time and answers all my questions.

First consultation he was all enthusiastic about discovering what was wrong with me. Second appointment, he couldn't have cared less. Refused to look at discoloration on upper part of chest as those he was offended that I might be flashing him my breasts. I literally brought in a BAGGIE full of hair I had lost over a three week period and he had no answers or concern. They then sent my records back a year later in the mail, unsolicited, without a return address or any type of correspondence. Way to protect my private health information! Avoid at all costs!

Bedside Manner Really Could Use Major Improvement! ZERO Personality Did NOT CARE One Iota About The Fact That I Had Pics Of My SEVERE RED/SWOLLEN Joints. Didn't Listen To Anything I Had To Say. He Felt What He Thought And Said Was MORE IMP. Than How I Feel! Didn't Do A Very Accurate Physical Exam...Considerin\g That Juv. RA Is NOT My Only Autoimmume Condition!
