Dr. Eric Alan Mein, MD

Cruel and far from human! I suffer regular disc compression and bulging episodes resulting in terribly strong back pain and sciatica. It keeps me from doing any normal life activity or sleeping. Short of surgery, only solution is immediate medication and an intra-spinal injection. In the past they would send me directly to get the injection and forward anti-inflammatory medication to my pharmacy. After years of being with these guys it is the second time I call them right after an episode and they tell me they cannot do anything until one of their doctors see me. That it has been more than 6 months after last visit. Well, that would be ok if it were not because they give me appointments for two or three weeks down the road!! That I can go to ER if it is urgent! Of course that is not a problem of the doctors. When I explained to them in the past they were understanding and said would not happen again. But it did! It is all those admin support flying around them trying to feel important.… Well, they lost a customer for life.

He is an amazing acupuncturist who helped me tremendously with my fibromyalgia when nothing else did!

Really great to deal with! Professional, personable and caring about family members who are with the patient. Explains the what where and how in detail and the gets the job done smoothly and quickly as possible. Highly recommend thr Doctor! I have used him for cortisone injections to my back for six years and wouldnt go anywhere else!

I am very frustrated with this office. I fell down 13 stairs and broke my shoulder..I have 4 disc fused in my lower spine...Now it seems my lower right lumbar area was also damaged in the fall....Have tried all week to see Dr Mein for a treatment....I called appoinment desk and was told no appointments until August..I called your office and was told on your recording not to leave a message..being desperate I left a message to see if I could be worked in. Didnt matter when, I justice needed help..you have very limited office hours....one thing I have learned dealing with chronic pain is to never run out of medication. I was running out of yours and filled the script Dr Kline gave me...both of you are with the same group and you can see my records from others in your practice. Its not like I am a pusher on the street... Finally spoke with your secretary today Friday and all she was interested in was scolding me for filling Dr Klines scrip....The fact I needed a treatment and was in… pain wasnt important..... I dont feel it is the appointment person nor your secretary job to decide when I need help....Surley you must have some provision for people to be worked in and treated when they dont have an appointment that day.... So here I am in misery on Friday night..a week gone and I still have no appointment for an alternate method to releave this pain...Havent spoken with you Dr Mein.. I am greatful for the 12 pills I have left from Dr Kline' s script...Its hard to work with your office with your limited office hours and when the only response I get is just being scolded for filling a script from one of your associates.

Dr Mein is compassionate, gentle and kind. The ESI he gave me was effective in managing my pain.

Very nice personality. He is easy to talk to. But, I feel like he was more focused on my opiate medications for my chronic pain caused by a failed surgery. I feel like he was on a mission to just get me off my pain medications and he told me I would "just have to live with it." If you know what chronic pain feels like, then you will understand. Id rather take a bullet to the head rather than "just live with it." I realize he means well, and that he does not want a patient addicted or dependent on pain medication. But, in this one life I have to live, I would rather live as pain free as possible rather than having my medication taken from me. Of course, the abuse of opiates has made it difficult for those of us who really need our medications to get through the day. My opinion is that this doctor is not fond of prescribing pain medication out.....even though his title is to do just that. All I can say is that I am glad he is not my permanent doctor. But, I have met worse.

doctor Mein was great. He treated me as a person not a number, and made me feel like he really cared. I have moved out of the area and hope to find a doctor like him again , because doctors like him are a rare breed ( ones that care that is) I would recommend him to anyone

It was Providence that led me to Dr Mein. For someone who has spent years going from one crummy doctor to another(they can't get out of the room fast enough and not listening or caring), I feel like I have hope now. I have had chronic back pain, not a good candidate for surgery due to multiple issues,but since I have been seeing Dr Mein, my back has not gone into spasm and I have virtually no pain. He is a caring doctor and I feel lucky to have found him.

The first visit went ok. All appointments after that seem to be uninformative. He doesn't smile, offer many treatment options other than what he can do personally in his office. Never showed me either MRI scans or printed out reports. I felt like i was of no importance to him since I was choosing not to do an ESI right away.. which by the way is done by him so i felt like since he was making no money off of me.. he pretty much didn't care.
