Eric Moulton, OD, PHD

Dr. Eric Moulton, OD, PhD, is an optometrist in the Department of Ophthalmology at Boston Children’s Hospital and an associate professor of anesthesia and ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric eye examinations and is widely recognized for his multidisciplinary research in the neuroscience of pain, particularly ocular pain and photophobia. Dr. Moulton serves as Director of the Brain and Eye Pain Imaging Laboratory and co-director of the Pain and Affective Neuroscience Center at Boston Children’s Hospital, where his work focuses on understanding how pain is represented in the brain and improving treatment approaches for chronic eye pain and related disorders. Known for combining clinical care with advanced neuroimaging research, he is dedicated to improving quality of life for patients through innovative, patient-centered care and translational science.
