Dr. Eric Paul Neibart, MD

I have known Dr Neibart since 1987, he has saved my life three times and has been my primary care doctor since then. He tells you the truth. No nonsense. Some may find him to be abrupt but he is simply straight forward. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my life.

My dog had passed away and I was emotionally distraught. i called his office to try to get a prescription to calm my nerves. Every day thereafter for 3 days I called trying to get a callback. He never called back. For the amount of time it took him to talk to his assistant to tell me he was busy, he could have picked up the phone and talked to me. Such arrogance.

Dr. Neibart was very dismissive and demeaning in his comments about a doctor I have been seeing for a long time and who has helped me greatly. He was not interested in speaking to her, but was very quick to give me the name of another doctor to see instead. I was taken aback and his demeanor seemed arrogant and flippant to me. He may be a good doctor , I had hardly a chance to judge that, because his behavior was so uncalled for and off putting

Eric Neibart personifies how medicine should be practiced. He will tell you like it is. He will analyze and rationalize your data and in the end, he will tell you the truth, That means if you need to lose weight-he will tell you and show you why, If you need to exercise, he will tell you. And, more importantly, he practices what he "preaches". He is in top notch condition and does cardio workouts that would challenge even a 25 year old and he will challenge you to IMPROVE your health. I am privileged to have met this highly intelligent, terrific listener, a great teacher (to medical residents and interns), and a fine human being. This is the doctor you want in the tranches with you.

Saw Dr Neibart at the Mt. Sinai ER at his direction. I had two small bites on my forearm, which had healed but I had photos of. They were strange looking with two puncture marks that had broken the skin. I did not recall being bit with the first and the second happened very quickly while outside at my home in Long Island when it was dark so I could not see what bit me . Although a longshot , I was concerned the bite could have been that of a bat which is common in Long Island. Bats are the number one transmitter of Rabies to humans in the US. The CDC advises post Rabies vaccine treatment even if you are near a bat. I mentioned all this to Dr. Neibart who did it even examine me and only spoke to me in the lobby. He looked at the pictures and said he did not advise And would not give me the post Rabies treatment. He was smirking when he told me this . I don’t understand how a doctor could take a chance with a human life like this . The vaccine has few, if no side effects usually and… Rabies is a death sentence. He was dismissive , borderline rude and acted like I was wasting his time. I went to another doctor, later, who sent me to my local ER , weeks after the bites, for the post treatment which could have been too late . I am having weird Rabies like symptoms in my right arm that was where the bites were. Hopefuly he was right but if not he is one on the first doctors I saw and , in my opinion , would be held accountable . Not to mention the angst and anxiety I have gone through due to not having pieces of mind that I had the vaccine in time.

Intelligent,great bedside manner, superb

As an experienced physician I know about excellence in the practice of personalized medicine with extraordinary diagnostic acumen and treatment. His reputation amongst his peers is the highest imaginable. He well deserves his regular listing as one of the best doctors in New York as per their publication, New York Magazine.

Unprofessional, Rude, Obnoxious Person. Why and How do these a- - holes become physicians. Lousy person and even worse doctor.

Dr. Neibart is a wonderful person and skilled clinician. He does not pat your head and enable your psychoses ( see a psychiatrist for that). What he does do is discuss medicine, your health, bloodwork, and lifestyle. He,s highly intelligent and intuitive and i like his straight forward no- nonsense bedside manner. His office is efficient and he has long term-loyal staff who run things professionally and with kindness and courtesy. I highly recommend Dr. Neibart if you want your health care the good old fashiioned way-- when doctors treated patients , diagnosed illness, and found remedies for treating disease.

Very rude, insensitive, nasty and insulting. He never took any history on me and had know idea I had 2 GI diseases. He through me out of the office and then had the nerve to bill Medicare. I don't know how Mt.Sinai Hospital could keep such an incompetent and combative personality on their staff. They must be hard up. He shouldn't be a doctor and needs his head examined.
