Dr. Eric Van Obie, MD

Not only had I been to my personal care physician twice, but was hardly listened to and was prescribed something by them that it turned out I didn't even need. Dr. Obie was the only physician in two months, that actually took the time to HEAR what I was saying, LISTEN to what was going on and actually try every attempt to help relieve my issue. He took two hours out of his day to make sure that I understood everything that was going on. He even had me walk back to look at my xrays so I could physically see what he was referring to and why! I wish he had his own practice....I would much rather go to him for my Primary Care Physician! I will be searching for a family practice group with his name on it!!!!!!

Was the worst doctor I have ever seen. Gave me antibiotics that he should have never given me. Gave me Nalidixic acid when there were much safer antibiotics and gave me cipro with steriods just because I asked him about diverticulitis. Did not do appropriate follow analysis to determine if I really had div. just fed me this poison. I am now totally crippled (in my joints) because of this doctor. There was a "Black Box" warning about cipro that Bayer gave to Dr. Obie but he did not tell me about this. Had I known I would have never taken this poison.

Dr. Obie is a superb Physician and it is always reassuring to me when he is on duty. I have respect and confidence in Dr. Obie's ability and hope that he stays with Riverside.
