Dr. Eric John Rydberg, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Rydberg for several years now. My previous doc was a watch glancer. I felt my visits were more of a financial transaction than an opportunity to improve my health. My impression of Dr. Rydberg is that he's one of those rare physicians who cares enough about his patients and their health to spend the time it takes to get it right. When he became my PCP, he took the time to interview me about my lifestyle and health issues. Together we formulated an improvement plan. He spoke frankly about the health issues. He then gently encouraged me to make the changes that would help. I took his advice and WOW! While I can't disclose specific details due to review policies on this site, I'll just say I believe he's helped me to add years to my life. He was actually beaming with excitement when my recent test results came in! I believe the best doctors sense the just right level of prodding and encouragement to give to each individual patient. When they get excited… by your progress, you can sense a reassuring motivation for why they do what they do. Dr. Rydberg is one of those special docs in my opinion.

This physician abandoned me as a patient after diagnosing my quality of life illness. I am required to travel each week for work, I am in graduate school attending class out of state; scheduling office visits is difficult for me, and critical. I missed an appoint due to a flight cancellation. The office staff indicated that I miss another visit that I didn't make, didn't know I had, and received no proactive reminder. I received a letter from this physician terminating me as a patient. When I called to discuss this with Dr. Rydberg, I was blocked by his staff, and he refused to take my calls, or return calls to me. I have been abandoned during the course of treatment for this critical quality of life issue, the clinic ( New West Physicians) has barred me from all of their clinics; which are spread all over Denver. The clinic is like a cancer all over the Denver area. Don't consider the physician, or this clinic - your treatment will be abandoned, and you will barred for… treatment all over the Denver Metro if you miss an appointment. I have been forced to provide self-treatment - which is highly dangerous.

If you wanted to be treated like a person, instead of just a medical record, and a method of making Dr. Rydberg and this practice more money, I would not suggest you go to him or this practice. There is no personal patient care, no follow up, no concern for health of patient, only concern on generating funds for the practice. Beware!

I have been going to Dr.Rydberg for over 15 years- he is great!

Dr. Rydberg is a great doctor. I trust him completely. All of my family goes to him.

This doctor needs to learn about people..He just wants to get a person in and out so he can be paid.. What a uncaring doctor!
