TERRIBLE!!!! NEVER go to this doctor. Running a scam!! group health tried 4 times to refill my prescription and no one responded. $300 for 10 mins of horrible service!! no bedside manner, rude, no call back, DO NOT GO

It's been a long time since I've been to such a horrible doctor visit. Do research before making an appointment with this man because I am not the only person who has not been pleased with him. He is rude, his bedside manner doesn't exist- he will tell you to call your primary care doctor or go to the ER if there is a problem because he won't be there. There is a reason why it is so easy to get an appointment with this doctor, nobody wants to see him. His receptionist was very sweet and professional. I feel sorry for her having to put up with him.

This Doctor reversed 26 years of torment due to Schizophrenia. His courage in prescribing 3 different anti-psychotic medications at quite high doses to be taken together saved my life...literally. My violent nocturnal hallucinations ceased after 26 years of misery and a history of trying everything under the sun medicinally. Thank you so much, Dr. Schendel!

Last summer, my 95 year old father, who suffers from dementia, was admitted to NW Hospital's geropsych unit, chiefly under Dr. Schendel's care. At the time, my father had been having trouble transitioning to an adult care facility and required some mild sedation. Without consulting me or my father's earlier medical records, which indicate sensivity to all meds affecting blood pressure, Dr. Schendel prescribed substantial dosages of meds that caused my father to lapse into unconsciousness, not once, but three times. Each time my father was sent to the emergency room. Even when I managed to contact Dr. Schendel, he insisted on prescribing seroquel, albeit at a lower dose. That prompted the third of my father's emergency room visits. As my father was being readied for discharge, Dr. Schendel was still prescribing seroquel and only removed it from the list of prescribed meds after I objected most strenuously. He also insisted that my father was a danger to himself and others. A year later,… my father is still living at a top-notch adult care facility, where he adjusted beautifully, requires minimal daily assistance, engages pleasantly with staff and residents, and was never treated with anything more sedating than the mildest doses of sertraline (a nugatory 25 mg/day)I leave you to draw your own conclusions.
