The first few times I went I didn't think they were fabulous but thankfully wasn't anything serious and I could always get an appointment right away. Over the last year, I had brought my 13 year old son to the office, he was complaining of something bothering him in his scalp. He has a thick head of hair and I couldn't see anything. We had seen a few docs, in the office, and they all thought just dry scalp. When we were there this last time, Dr. Segal barely looked at his head and said yup, dry scalp. Keep doing what you are doing. (Didn't even mention what we were doing by name) When I left the office that day I thought it was time to find a new doc. A few days later I noticed a bald spot on my son's head, right in that spot. I then noticed quite a large bump, in that area. I called Dr. Segal's office and the earliest they could get us back in was a week later. Strange since normally I can get in so quickly. I found a new doc and was in the next day. My son didn't have… dry scalp he had a cyst that got infected. The cyst was drained that day, took over an hour to drain it, he is on a high dose of antibiotic and we go back tomorrow for a follow up with the new doctor. The new doc seems to think it will take some time but thankfully we got it before it got much worse. When I asked how long he thought it had been there he said he couldn't tell for sure but was certainly not new. I will never ever go back to Dr. Segal and office and will be sure to share with anyone who asks.

I recently had 3 visits to Dr. Siegel's office due to a cyst removal procedure. First time patient here. Was skeptical about mixed reviews before going in. Now I can definitely say, I would not return to this office ever again. And for those who haven't been there, try somewhere else. First of all, about Dr. Siegel, I am disappointed about his service in that for a very simple basic cyst removal, which is expected to be done by just one visit. I had to go back for 3 times and still not cured. I guess I better try some other practices. Secondly, the office especially the billing is a nightmare. They sent me 3 bills, each showing different amounts of office visit in addition to other line item charges (shots, lab, etc.). Upon questioning, it was explained the 1st visit is for new patient so the office visit is more expensive. For the 2 other two, they simply said it's dr's decision and it's what it is. When I asked to speak to the billing mgr, she is always not available. I tried… calling the office for 4 times asking the billing mgr to call me back. It never happened. Bear in mind though, the office keeps your credit card so they will charge you automatically. Finally on the 5th call, I clearly said pls hold on to the credit card charge until the billing mgr calls me back. Guess what? She called me right back within minutes after I hang up. Unbelievable, right? The billing mgr is probably the rudest person I ever spoke to, feeling like she is treating me as someone who just wanted to get free medical services. Basically her response is ‘IT IS WHAT IT IS. DR decided on the procedure code. You have no choice but just have to pay it’. When I questioned if that’s the case, can I speak to the dr to see if there is any mistake here. The answer is ‘NO’ and insisted I need to pay it. Few days later, I received the bill again. I guess I am just done with the office and got my credit card calling the office to make the payment. This time it’s a different billing personell answering the phone. Out of last curiosity, I asked her for opionion on why I was charged different office visits. Guess what? They put a note in the system, saying “I am a patient fishing around…” I am so speechless. Anyway, this is my personal experience. And by far, it’s my worst dr experience, wasting a couple hundred dollars, not getting a simple cyst removed and got ZERO respect from the office. This is my first ever dr review. Thinking it’s probably worth the time to share with everyone.

I went to have a beauty mark removed. He explained the procedure before I asked about it. Simple and to the point. Very professional.

I had a follow up appt where additional cutting or freezing was to be done. They are participants in my insurance but refused to keep my appointment because I wouldn't give them a credit card to keep on file!

This is the first time I have been to a facility where I did not come across any issues from checking in to checking out. Dr. Siegel was recommended to me by a few friends that go to the practice and I'm glad I decided to try it out. Very happy with my visit.

A patient for 10 years & he refused to see me without a credit card on file. Never a payment problem, full insurance coverage. Requested and received records only to find they were unbelievably INCORRECT. Glad now that I will be seeing another dermatologist.

Do not go to Dr Siegel. After being treated there for several years, he completely misdiagnosed a skin condition. He was consistently dismissive when I had a persistent skin spot for several years. It just never healed - he prescribed creams etc. and I told him I saw no changes. He insisted it was a non-compliance issue. Never once in 5 years did he suggest a biopsy or wonder why no changes. Finally, I decided to go elsewhere - a very competent derm took 1 look and suggested biopsy and it was a skin ca. Unbelievable. Do not go to this practice. There are many good dermatologists in NJ (summit medical) and in NYC.

Wonderful experience both visits we had with him. Very nice and takes him time with patients.

Siegel epitomizes the ministerial, functionary physician of today. no care whatsoever for the patient. does not communicate. does not return calls. practices extreme defensive medicine even if it is at the expense of the patient. does not follow up. interposes his bureaucratic office staff between himself and the patient. do not waste your time.
