Dr. Silverstein replaced my left knee at the CT Joint Replacement Institute. Minimal pain. Complete range of motion after surgury. With PT, I was back skiing technical terrain in Vermont 3&1/2 months after surgury. here it is 9 months after surgury and my knee functions as it did in my college years. Fantastic surgeon. He knows his area of expertise - the best at what he does!

Dr. Silverstone is a friendly, caring professional, and an excellent surgeon. He takes the time to explain the intended procedure in a simple, straightforward manner. He answers all your questions and always all your fears. He has performed two surgeries for me with great outcomes.

Dr. Silverstein first performed a surgery to remove a tumor from my right thigh. Then he followed that up with a total knee replacement at San Francis Hospital. I was very pleased with the outcome in both cases. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable, and his staff is also excellent. I would emphasize that. It’s extremely important to follow his instructions after the surgery, particularly about physical therapy and exercises. You will have a good outcome if you follow his instructions. I am happy. I chose him to do this procedure for me. I would certainly return if I needed the other knee done. Thank you.

I am very grateful to Dr. Silverstein, his office staff, and St. Francis Hospital (Hartford) doctors, nurses and staff for the wonderful care given to me the two times I've had surgery, once to implant a rod in my right thigh and again to do a left total knee replacement. Both procedures were clearly explained to me; and both went very well. I highly recommend pre-op PT before knee replacement surgery; recovery seems to go more quickly and less painfully. I have recommended Dr. Silverstein to others, even though we all live in western MA and not the Hartford area. It's worth the travel to receive the expertise and care.
