Dr. Eric Smith, DO

Doctor Eric Smith damaged my spermatic coard during a routine inguinal hernia surgery. It been almost 6 months since surgery and I walk around feeling as if I was kicked in the testicles non stop. Sex is not an option at the moment due to pain. I completely regret ever letting this doctor operate on me. He came into surgery flustered and rushed after his child forgot his SAYRE uniform that was needed after 1st period gym class. This caused him to be almost 2 hours late for my surgery. He had 6 to 8 surgeries scheduled that day Post surgery I was in severe pain, in hindsight likely due to unnecessary damage, and the doctor prescribed 12 percocet 5s.. I'm a 250 lb Male and I felt this doctor did not make sure I was comfortable after surgery. I will never be back to see this doctor.

I had my VSG surgery 2 weeks ago & have been doing well. Dr. Eric Smith & his staff is the best & truly care for their patients. I highly recommend Georgetown Bariatrics!

Great Outstanding Dr.!!!!!!!! was very informative .great bedside manner.I have had several operations and never had such quality of care! I would recommend Dr. Smith to anyone.whatever he tells you is exactly how it will be.I only wish he could fix all my health problems and my other surgeries i need.after having him for a surgeon ,im scared i wont ever have this quality of care again..as i said he is Great!!So was my Nurses at Georgetown Hospitial.

He has such a down to earth appeal as to not talk over your head. He's very knowledgeable about your situation and will suggest to you your best options. Even if this means no surgery ( which means less $$ for him,but what's best for you). That's a good honest doctor and I admire that. Don't chance in that aspect!

Absolutely love Dr. Smith, he under promised and over delivered. I had col rectal cancer, he told me very straight foward the size and location of my tumor. Also that i would have a colostomy that I had less than a 1% chance of it being reversed, I was devastated. But tried my hardest to come to terms with this fact, leading up to my surgery. The day the surgery took place, he informed my family and I that he would be able to reconnect me so that I would not have to have a bag the rest of my life. That was very true! I had the bag for about 7 or 8 weeks. I went back for surgery and now am able to use every thing again. I just can not thank him enough. I feel like he saved me. I'm so thankful to him and would recommend any one to go to him.

I have nothing but expert care from Dr. Smith. Thank God for good surgeons like him, Who make the overall experience much more tolerable.

Dr Smith has always been very caring and gave all the information to any questions I may have had.He is willing to take the time to address any problems or any concerns w/o rushing thru the office visit. I would not hesitate to do this all again (Lapband surgery) with Dr. Smith as my surgeon
