Dr. Eric Jay Sodicoff, MD

One visit was one too many with Dr. Sodicoff. His hemming and hawing and unsure of diagnosis and next steps during the visit = zero confidence. Three days later I learn that the he and staff screwed up my lab work. I'm still without a diagnosis. Save yourself - go elsewhere.

Although the Doctor is not an extrovert, I drew him out with a compliment of his knowledge. He attends medical conferences and is up to date on latest info, especially dietary. He was ahead of the curve on low sugar/ low carb diets. He also explained some anecdotal info from a world renown specialist from one of the conferences, which I am practicing and await clinical results. He tells it like it is without sugar coating and this directness may upset some patients. To those I say “Get over it!” We need more doctors like Dr. Sodicoff.

Dr Sodicoff actually cares about helping people get healthy instead of just robotically prescribing drugs. His knowledge of modern nutrition is rare in the medical field and I drive 90 minutes for a single visit due to how rare it is.

If you visit this man be prepared for a five minute visit with no eye contact, no bedside manner, complete lack of knowledge or compassion. He will tell you you are obese, even when clearly not. He is the pinnacle of what is wrong with healthcare in our society. Disgusting

Totally upset my mother with his attitude at the hospital. Avoid him being your doctor. Needs some sensitivity training or new line of work behind a computer.

I have had Dr. Sodicoff listed as my doctor for a few years. The times I went to see him for annual he was ok - he's a bit odd and fidgety but I deal with similar all the time working for a tech company. He seemed fairly intelligent and on top of modern medicine. Then I had what seemed like a heart attack. I was rushed to the hospital - it turned out not to be a heart attack based on testing, but throughout the 18 hours in the hospital I continued to feel chest pain and shortness of breath. I don't need to share my whole medical history here in terms of what I eventually (by seeing another doctor) found it out to be, but at the time it was very frightening - and I was lucky this event happened as I have been able to take appropriate medication and change habits to improve my condition. The important part here though is that Dr. Sodicoff was on duty, in the hospital, the day I was there after begin admitted post emergency room care. I was there for 9 hours of his shift. I asked… the nurse if I could speak with my doctor...laying there with monitors hooked up and feeling chest pain, shortness of breath, frightened of what could cause this I hoped that I could at least speak with my own Primary Care Physician who was the on site doctor seeing patients that day. Instead the nurse was told that no he would not come up the single flight of stairs to see his patient, that no waiting until he was done with other things would not enable him to see me - he simply had no intention of coming up. It was one of the most frustrating medical situations of my life...no idea what is wrong with me, in pain, in fear - and my own doctor on duty refusing to come see me. He also never followed up after the hospital visit. When I asked why she said he was too busy with paperwork. Take that and make your own decision about whether you want to see this doctor. He seems to have forgotten any reason he might have had for entering the profession in the first place.

This was the worst experience with a physician that I have ever had. The answer to every concern I had was to change my diet to avoid all carbs - even "good carbs" (Atkins diet). He fidgets, avoids eye contact, and didn't seem to listen when I told him things. I almost walked out.
