Eric M. Spratford, MD

I would not recommend Dr. Eric Spratford at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care Westchester based on my experience. During my annual physical, I mentioned occasional constipation in response to an open-ended question at the end of the visit. It was a two-minute conversation and I received a printed handout, nothing more. I was later billed a separate $405 office visit charge for that exchange, on top of the preventive visit, with no mention at the time that doing so would trigger an additional bill. I was also billed $104 for a Vitamin D test that was never discussed with me. I didn't know it had been ordered until the bill arrived. When I tried to get an explanation, I called the office five times over two months with no response. A written dispute through MyChart got a one line reply saying the charges were correct, with no explanation given. Dr. Spratford never personally responded. AdventHealth lists high ethical standards and quality and service… excellence among its core values. My experience with this office did not reflect either. I've since filed a formal complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. If you're considering this practice, be aware that routine conversations during an appointment can turn into separate billed charges, and getting a straight answer afterward was not possible in my case.

It's obvious that Dr. Spratford likes people (!!!) and enjoys getting to know his patients and working with them to understand their ideals, goals in life, cares and sorrows. He LISTENS, and then provides sound advice and direction. I wouldn't trust my life's care to anyone else.

Dr. Spratford is a great doctor and a good man. He listens, keeps an eye on you and your medical history, and they run the most efficient office over there that I have ever seen. I have been to quite a few doctors over the years and Spratford is the only one I think I would recommend to anyone.

My family has seen Dr. Spratford for many years. Very knowledgeable, good diagnostician, cares about people, good listener, takes his time with you, and very personable. Highly recommend him.

I have seen Dr. Spratford for many years. He is the best doctor I have ever gone to. He listens to what you say and diagnoses accuartly. His staff is very pleasant and profesional. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a doctor.
