Been a patient of Dr Strauss for over 20 years. Always correct and Professional. Highly recommaneded.

Eric Strauss performs unnecessary tests which cost hundreds of dollar out of pocket. Did not take his time to examine conditions well. I came to Eric Strauss for a skin rash, and was suggested a biopsy in order to diagnose the origin of the rash. Inquired both him, and the front desk whether this procedure would be covered by insurance, and I was assured that insurance covers the bulk of this test. The biopsy wound up costing hundreds and hundreds of dollars. The office staff are not knowledgeable nor transparent with insurance costs. Eric Strauss did not take time to listen or answer questions, I was rushed very out quickly. I was told to hold off on questions on hormonal acne, and save them for the follow-up visit.

I had a horrible experience at Dermatology Associates of Morris this morning and I am now writing this review as a former patient. The "waiting game" in the doctor's reception area is typically par for the course, right? I mean we've all been made to endure it and are virtually at the mercy of the doctors and reception staff when we're ailing and in need of medical attention. After one horrible visit to be seen by Dr. Eric Strauss(almost an hour wait in the reception area and 15 minutes in the exam room) and a follow-up that proved to be just as bad (37 minute wait in the exam room) I decided NO MORE!!! I realize Dr. Strauss is busy and has other patients to see throughout the day but my time is just as valuable. I will not return to Dermatology Associates of Morris.To an further insult to injury, the reception staff isn't very friendly. I don't expect them to do cartwheels when I show up for my appointment but at the very least, look up from the paper work you're shuffling when you… respond coldly to my "good morning."

Excellent bedside manner. Even though he was running late, Dr. Strauss did not rush me through the appointment at all. He is confident, patient, and knows his stuff. He answered all my questions to the fullest. While giving me professional explanations, he did not speak down to me in the least. Will definitely go back with the next dermatology issue. I have been to several dermatologists, and I prefer him over all of them!

To be fair, I am a physician and a friend. You may think this is a natural bias, but doctors are notoriously picky. On top, I also train doctors, so I pick up on all the "core competencies." I was seen in less than ten minutes. There was just the right amount of information -not too much, not too little. He saw a few things he could take care of and gave me reasonable treatment options for each. All seemed sound advice based on evidence and experience. The procedures were masterfully executed: no pain or complications. I got written aftercare instructions. Overall, very pleasant experience and great care outcomes.

Dr. Strauss was very professional, did a great job of talking directly to my teenage son about the options for treating his acne and carefully explained the side effects to each option. We felt very well taken care of and the doctor was genuinely concerned about both the medical and emotional concerns my son had. The Doctor took as much time as we needed and answered all of our concerns.

He sits down, looks at my face and talks non stop without taking a breath or pausing to see if I had anything to say. He tells me I'm going to get a prescription from his assistant and gets up to leave. I had to get up and say wait! I asked him a question, got a one word answer and he made like he was leaving again. I had to stop him repeatedly to get three questions answered. Ridiculous. I know my insurance is paying but I felt ripped off. This guy should do something else: maybe wall street or auto theft. His agenda is so obvious....Sadly, he's what you think of when you hear the word doctor these days....The office seemed ok and I'm going to ask if I can have another doctor. Someone who can at least fake feeling concerned for another human in a more convincing manner. (Maybe med schools should start offering acting courses - as electives...)

Very friendly, excellent physisican who go to the bottom of a difficult problem with alot of caring and understanding. Prompt courteous return calls.

Spent time explaining, and involves you in the decision-making. Caring.
