He earned his bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Florida and his doctorate from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. In order to stay up-to-date on all the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, he maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Northeast District Dental Association, the Beaches Study Club, the North Florida Implant Continuum, the Dawson Academy Alumni Association, the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the OKU National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Townsend is a native of Jacksonville. He and his wife, Joy, have been marred since 1981 and have two sons, Eric Jr. and Jared. Dr. Townsend volunteers his time to mission organizations that provide dental care to underprivileged children in Mexico and Romania. Outside the office, he enjoys boating, fishing, …woodworking and is an avid Florida Gators Football Fan!
