Dr. Eric Trimas, DO

I have been going to this office for approx a year and seem to have good service from the PA I have never seen the Dr. myself. I referred my husband to the office since he really does not have an office to go to. My husband was having heart problems and ended up in the ER at chelsea hospital and was advised to contact the Dr and that he needed to get in for a stress test. A few weeks later he had his stress test and they would send the result to Dr Trimas and we would hear from their office as of today which has been months we still have heard nothing back. I 8 days ago called to get a prescription for myself refilled before I ran and was told someone would contact me back with in the next few days to let me know when they called it in and as of today I still have heard nothing and no longer have that medication. I think it is time for my family to find a new physician that can handle the amount of patients in a timely

Dr. Trimas is a very nice man and seems quite knowledgeable in many areas. However, on more than one occasion, he has prescribed meds that the pharmacist has told me not to take together. I wouldn't have died if I took them, but there was a high chance of potential problems had I taken them. Also, he rarely examines me! When I go in for a sore throat, I'd like him to at least LOOK at it. His staff is great, and he always makes time for me--- which I guess is the reason I keep going to him.

Trimas dropped me because I hadn't reached an A1C level within his time frame. I'd gone from 15+ to 9.1 in 6 months time but that wasn't sufficient. He didn't check to find that my husband had lost his job, that we were subsisting on my salary, nor the stress levels involved. His staff were semi-helpful at the best. I wish there was a category on caring. He is knowledgeable about medicine, just not people.
