Dr. Eric William Trygstad, MD

Terrible experience, did not speak to me for longer than one minute- didn’t even come all the way in the room- This was my first ultrasound of my first ever pregnancy and he left before I could ask him what we were looking at. He didn’t allow us to ask questions, didn’t explain anything. Worst experience with a doctor I’ve ever had! I literally had to ask the nurse afterwards, am I even pregnant? What are we looking at? She was apologetic and uncomfortable too with his manner

I would not choose Dr. Trygstad again, and I do not recommend him. I had a miscarriage - Dr. Trygstad was not supportive, told me I was being "emotional" - of course I was teary and not sure what to do - this was my first pregnancy and the miscarriage lasted three weeksof actie bleeding, two weeks of which I also had a daily constant fever and tried misoprostal twice. I was trying to figure out what was the best course of action, a D/C (at clinic or hospital) or continue with the bleeding and fever, and I felt that he was hurried and insensitive. When I reluctantly returned to him for my follow up appointment after the D/C I needed to have him fill out paperwork for a short term disability leave of absence from my job (I have never used short term disability before though I have an extremely active high stress and high risk job that some staff use short term disability for every year) and he behaved as this was a great inconvenience for him (he told me that he would have a medical… records person complete it and it could take some time). Dr. Trygstad said he felt that I should already have returned to work as this would be "good" for me, though I had only been out for the three and a half weeks, the D/C had just happened three days earlier and I was still actively grieving the loss. He did finally complete the simple forms, and I went back to work less than a week later though I did not feel ready. He made the worst time of my life more stressful and emotional than it could have been otherwise.

I have some experience in the medical field where I worked directly with many doctors, and I have a pretty significant medical history which requires me to see many physicians, and Dr. Trygstad is probably my favorite physician. He is very caring, has a fantastic bedside manner, and is extremely knowledgeable. However, he also is not afraid to say maybe this patient needs to see another specialist. No ego involvement with Dr. Trygstad! He is truly all about the patient and the patient's needs. HIGHLY recommend!
