Dr. Eric David Van Tassel, MD

After two visits to the ER, a stress test and a cardiac cath, this doc sent me home from the hospital with no follow up instructions, no news of the results of the cath. He did not answer any of my questions on the two very brief times I saw him in person and he had some other doc who I didn't get to meet do the procedure. I called his office with questions and his nurse, Janet told me in response to each question "we don't know what is causing your chest pain but it's not your heart, so we are done with you." She repeated this like a robot for every question and would say no more. Dr VanTassel and his nurse are the rudest most uncaring people I have met. They billed my insurance for a lot of money and seemed unwilling to help me or even share my results.

Dr. Van Tassel and his staff were rude to my grandmother. She has had a pacemaker in her for the past 20+ years, and this is the first time that a doctor has been objectively sub-par; prompting my review. She was due for a pacemaker checkup, and it took 5 phone calls, with over 3 hours of being on hold, and waiting for their front office to confirm that she was booked. When we spoke about this to the Doctor, he blamed the numerous people he was seeing; implying she was not important enough.Furthermore, when asked who we should speak to, he simply brushed us off and referred us to the practice administrator. When we asked who she was, he could not give us a name. In my mind, this is not professional at all. Finally, despite having a file that clearly says to call other family members, not my grandmother (she has Alzheimer's), to confirm an appointment, the office did not do so. It took us going to another doctor, who noted we had not taken her to the cardiologist to realize this… mistake.I don't come on here to rant; but Dr. Van Tassel was unprofessional, discourteous, and rude.
