Dr. Eric Wesley Wang

This is very important to remember. UPMC is a teaching hospital. I saw Dr. Eric Wang three times. Each time there was a different intern, resident or fellow that came in before Dr. Wang to do the examination. I did not go there to be examined by someone training. Because of these different people examining me and sharing the information with Dr. Wang, I kept getting different treatment recommendations. I left confused. If you want to be treated only by the doctor that you chose for treatment, this is not the place to go. We have training personnel here getting involved in your treatment plan.

100% recommend this doctor if you are considering nasal surgery. He is extremely friendly and has a great bed side manor. He was the first ENT to recommend surgery for my breathing problems. The recovery from the surgery was painless and I was back to work in 3 days with 0 complications.

Did not treat my husband with respect. He rushed us through the appointment, was not at all educated on my husband's diagnoses (ENS & nerve damage), and made fun of him - literally laughing in his face. We left feeling hopeless & depressed.

I had an ethmoid cyst removed. Dr. Eric Wang did the surgery. According to the internet there were risks. I was worried but Dr. Eric Wang reassured me about the surgery and sounded very confident in doing the surgery. So I wasn't worried about the surgery as I put my complete trust in him. I was not disappointed. The surgery went completely well. I was surprised I didn't need nasal packing which made recovery much more pleasant. I already did my first post op. He told me everything looked fine. I can tell you he is an excellent surgeon. I don't believe if I had went to a less competent surgeon, it would have went so well with greater risks. I can tell you an excellent surgeon can mean the difference between having complications after surgery or not. Even though all surgeries carry a degree of risk, it helps greatly to know one is in competent hands. It is like when people get hip replacements or similar surgeries, a simple surgery or one done often can still go wrong. So… even though this surgery was concerning sinus, I can't tell you how happy I was to find out everything went well. I had the surgery at Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. Where you have surgery also is important. Dr. Eric Wang and all the staff there could not have been more nicer to me. They even sent me a letter with personal wishes on a get well card. It meant a great deal to me. So if you have any doubt about sinus surgery done by Dr. Eric Wang, don't. I want to thank him because the surgery I had done was risky as the cyst had eroded some of the bone at the brain of the brain and was very near to my eye and he did an excellent job. I just can't thank him enough.
