Dr. Eric Alan Weisman, MD

Doesn’t deserve one single star. This man is just an unkind human. Took my father who has been experiencing severe memory issues along with other issues and I left his office in tears. It took almost 6 months to get an appointment in which he gave us maybe ten minutes of his time. During the time he spent with us he would “shush” us when we tried to speak and talk down to us as if he was the only person with any knowledge in the room. This is supposed to be a doctor and all he did was make the situation worse. He has no bedside manner and has no empathy for his patients. When asked if we were seeking help, we told him we had been seeing another neurologist, but ultimately decided to get another opinion. He laughed at us and told us he is the only dementia specialist in the state of PA. We asked about a PET scan and he laughed at us saying no insurance would cover it and if we wanted it that it would be ten grand out of pocket. Now saw a new doctor and she ordered the PET scan on our… first visit and also told us that Dr. Weisman had been over medicating my dad. I wish this man would never be able to see another patient again.

He doesn’t deserve one star. Horrible Horrible Horrible. Waited 6 months for an appointment he was lucky he gave us 15 min consultation. No definite diagnosis. Possibly prescribe too much medication. Should not be practicing medicine. Would not recommend to anyone. No bedside manner. Wouldn’t order a Pet scan and now a year later family member is declining and we have to start over. Will be filing a complaint with the State Medical Board.

I took my father to see him as a follow up appointment. He was dressed in pajama pants and wore his mask under his nose. He talked about himself more than he asked questions about my father. He did not even ask how his medication is working. He put his finger to his lips when I tried to ask him a question. He obnoxiously counted out loud from 1-100 to show his frustration with the number of messages in the computer on my father. We left with zero information and confused about what just happened. This doctor has no compassion what so ever. Office staff was rude. Horrible experience!

I recently took a loved one who has been experiencing memory changes for evaluation. Dr. Weisman was rude, condescending, unethical, unprofessional, no compassion, or bedside manner. This was a new patient who had a horrible experience and will never return to this specialist. This is supposed to be a great experience for a first visit not traumatizing for some who will be experiencing difficulties with quality of life.

Had a traumatic brain injury in 2014 with a right frontal lobe injury; also have had Lyme Disease 3 times since 2013. (confirmed by bloodwork) Lost my short term memory earlier this year (2020) and having severe right jaw/cheek tightening each day. He spent 2-1/2 hours talking with me and my husband; asking me different things; also asking me to do things like telling him things like the months of the year backwards, counting backwards from 100 subtracting 3 from each number recited and various other things checking various aspects of my memory. I only wish I'd been referred to him after being released from the hospital -- unfortunately when I was life-flighted the helicopter was scheduled for the current hospital that was taking trauma patients that evening and it wasn't the hospital he was associated with. I do believe with the positive visit we had that I may get back to my normal life I had prior to my fall and traumatic injury. Dr. Weisman told us he's sure (after tests he… scheduled before we left) he can help me recover and that what I'm experiencing is from the brain injury and not the Lyme (as I've been assuming).

Spent an hour with this extremely rude person that calls himself a professional. He doesn’t feel the need to speak to the patient, deals only with his computer, got no results whatsoever just extreme rudeness

I left my follow-up appointment totally frustrated as my questions were not answered but seemed to be somewhat dismissed or sneered at. He comes across to me as impersonating a Dr rather than being one. He seems to want to be a comedian instead - joking rather than explaining the serious medical conditions and treatment. Follow up test results were not discussed. Example to my concerns about my insomnia was drink warm milk and go to back to bed. One medicine was prescribed but I was not given any information as to how it works or may interact with other meds. He walked out of the room as I was asking questions - ignored me and left the room. Very strange person and I will not be returning nor recommend him to anyone.

I went to him because I have brain damage spreading through out my head. No one knows why I'm in my 20s. He denied my test results said he doesnt believe in pet scans. I have severe symptoms he chalked all that up to depression. I started loosing my sight he told me what he thought it might be and sent me to get my eyes checked. 1 eye doctor and 2 seconds options later turns out I'm going blind. Next visit when I return with my results he lies said the disease he sent me to be tested for only happens for kids. Its specially I'm adults usually ages 30 and up. He answer is to put me on anti depressants. Depression doesnt cause u to go blind. Depression doesnt cause brain damage. This doctor is a real POS. Point blank I was lied to and discriminated against because of my age. This wasnt a one time bad experience this guy is incompetent. Dont get me started on the terrible bed side manner. Making jokes about my condition thinking it's funny while cracking open a can of soda. Avoid this… doctor at all costs

Dr. Weisman was the worst Dr. I have ever encountered. Absolutely no bedside manners and complete rude and inappropriate. My daughter saw him and he belittled, demeaned her and told her to go back to school that her school was a joke. We have since transferred doctors and their office staff is just as rude and not to mention you can never reach them. Just a horrible experience and would not recommend to anyone.
