Dr. Eric Bruce Whitacre, MD

Dr Eric Whitacre was caring and kind. Staff was great as well. He was worth the drive to Tucson.

My PCP contacted him on a Friday; his office called me that Saturday. My husband and I met with him that Monday. Everything about him - compassionate, educational, empathetic, incredible bedside manner - was excellent. He is an excellent surgeon. His staff is amazing.

Never met Eric, bit his dad Wendall was amazing. If Eric is anything like his father, the other plastics trained surgeons in Tucson should be very envious of this MD.

I am so blessed to have Dr. Whitacre and his staff taking care of me. A cancer diagnosis can be scary. He and his staff made me and my husband very comfortable and informed. We were able to make a decision about my surgery. It doesn't matter to me that I might have had to wait in the office lobby to meet with him. I knew that he was taking the time with the patient in front of me and would afford the same time and courtesy when it came to my appointment. I received a number of follow-up telephone calls - over the weekend, in the evenings, over the holidays. Thank you for my care!

Just found out through grapevine that I have serious problem. The office staff took it upon themselves to diagnose me via phone. A doctor who can't control his staff's behavior and illegal statements should not be practicing. Shame on you for taking my life in your hand!

Extremely confused and frightened after receiving my diagnosis - but after my first appointment with Dr. Whitaker I felt at ease and confident that I was going to be "alright". His knowledge and advice was truly amazing! His staff was prompt; friendly; helpful and after surgery called me to see how I was doing - even after hours "on a Saturday".

The worst experience ever was receiving my breast cancer diagnosis...however, being under the care of a most highly skilled and kind-spirited physician such as Dr. Eric B. Whitacre has eased and alleviated so much of the anxiety and fears associated with such a dreadful disease. His calm and reassuring nature always gave me the confidence I needed to overcome my fears. I cannot say enough positive praise about Dr. Whitacre and his staff. I can honestly say that I am 200% satisfied with the outcome and quality of care that he provided and consider myself so incredibly blessed to have had someone like him to guide me through this experience. His great skills and bedside manners have put him above the rest!!

Very understanding doctor and the staff is very professional and at the same time caring. I am very happy I was referred to this office for the wonderful care I was given and the staff made a scary experience very tolerable. I would refer all my friends here if they needed to see a breast specialist
