Dr. Erica Rose Cohen, MD

She and the staff at Capital Digestive Care rate 5 stars+ and more. The staff are great and attentive, appointments are easy to make, and she herself is very straightforward and is an excellent gastroenterologist.

Dr. Cohen has been the best GI doctor I’ve ever gone to. She was recommended to me as someone who handles particularly complicated IBD cases, and my care finally turned around once I started seeing her. She really listens to my symptoms and concerns, fully answers questions, doesn’t rush, and customizes the treatments to my specific circumstances and with my input. And while her schedule is often very full, she is very communicative over the patient portal so I always have quick access to her. As a woman with chronic health issues, I’ve experienced my share of doctors that don’t listen and are just going through the motions. Dr. Cohen has been a breath of fresh air and I wish all my doctors treated patients this way.

I agree with the other two reviews. She took my son off a medication that was working fine. He is now in a year long flare-up. I am thinking about a lawsuit. She was incredibly rude and then threw her hands up and tried to walk away bc she couldnt figure out what was wrong. Terrible, terrible doctor. We are in a literal shit storm because of her. AVOID!

Horrible doctor and I imagine person in the outside world. Does not listen. Lazy. Did not even physically touch me at several office visits. Speaks down to others and does not care. Why are you in this field? You are hurting people. Done- disrespectful! I’m sure your parents are disappointed in the way to turned out.

She’s doing a fellowship at Cedars Sinai IBD. I’ve had IBD longer than she has been alive and been a patient of Cedars for 20 years. She talked down to me and didn’t listen to anything I had to say. I would not recommend her to anyone.
