Dr. Erica Dun, MD

Dr. Dun was responsive and answered all of my questions. My GYN referred me and I received an appointment within a week or two. She gave me time to discuss treatment options.

Dismissive, condescending attitude, borderline confrontational, and outwardly judgemental the entire visit. Would have walked out if it wasn't an emergency/ I hadn't waited so long for an appointment. Great if you're looking for someone who is looking to do the bare minimum.

She rude and horrible

I was referred to Dr Dun by Dr Hopkins at NYU. My previous gynecologist believed my mass to be an inguinal hernia for years and did not properly test. A special MRI (that Dr Hopkins ordered, not my previous GYN) found that it was not a hernia, but instead a hard endometrial mass. There were other areas of concern including a STROMAL TUMOR on my left ovary. When I got the results, I was a wreck. I called and emailed my gynecologist’s office crying and begging for an emergency appointment. I finally got an email from my doctor saying that I would have to be booked on the regular schedule. Scheduling said it might be a week or two until she was free. Meanwhile, Dr Hopkins called me within 30 minutes of my results and calmed me down. She recommended Dr Erica Dun at NYU, who was able to fit me in the next day. To be clear, Dr Dun’s schedule was PACKED but her office and Dr Hopkins found a way. Dr Dun is amazing. Dr Dun has been so incredibly responsive and informative through… this really scary process. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. Dr Dun and Dr Hopkins made a surgery plan and will be operating me in a month. I couldn't be more grateful to have Dr Dun on my team.

Please don’t base your decisions on the bad ratings. This doctor knows her stuff and has great bedside manner. She was attentive and explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. Doctors responds quickly to calls/emails. I would definitely recommend.

Horrible doctor. Tries to extort you to go back in the office to answer questions on your result when the entire practice doesn’t follow this. Would advise you go to another one.

I had a terrible experience with Dr Dun, who is listed as an endometriosis specialist. She was hesitant to answer my questions, and seemed borderline skeptical about why I was asking them. A great deal of our appointment was her questioning why I was there instead of speaking to my surgeon, though I had explained I was seeking a follow-up and ongoing GYN care. She wouldn’t look at the blood tests another GYN had ordered because she “didn’t know why they were ordered” even though I was able to explain that. She was short, impatient, unhelpful, and made me feel stupid for asking questions. Please do not go see this doctor if you’re in need of someone to work with you in a thoughtful way.

Went above and beyond what was expected and her kind nature put me at ease when I should have been stressed out. I'm sad that she left the Atlanta area, but if you deciding whether or not to see her she truly is an AMAZING Dr.
