Dr. Erica Gettis, DO

Consistently late (1 hour+) and rude. Likes to "talk-down" to patients and belittle them. Go elsewhere.

Dr Gettis is very though and has immaculate bedside manners.

She is very focused on an agenda, and I felt like I could ask no questions I wanted to have answered. I even had a list, and was told "this is an appointment for lab results." She had the same reaction for my first in person appointment.

She is one of the worst doctors I have encountered in my 74 years. If she doesn't know something, she avoids it (eg. Anything about mycoplasma, my major problem), lies about her past actions, or fakes it, leading to gross errors like her interpretation of the Chest X-Ray, which she covered up by omitting any mention of it, and her bad choice not to treat the infection (reversed by a second opinion by my far superior new PC doctor at Baptist) and other bad impulsive choices that I refused. As a former expert witness in malpractice cases and a Ph.D. In Pharmacology from UCSF, I am warning you that she will be the object of several malpractice cases in the next few years, unless you force her to look at the literature and seek advice before making bad decisions. She is not worth the risk of hiring.
