Erica Hughes

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Substance Abuse Professional with the Department of Transportation, an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a licensed addictions counselor.

After working in this field for ten years through community mental health and volunteering, I am branching out on my own. As a mother of three children, ages five and under, I know how hard it is to get in to see a doctor, let alone get the time for yourself to see a therapist. I also understand the importance of taking time to care for yourself so that you are able to be there for the ones you love.

I specialize in depression (including post-partum), mood disorders, adolescents (including behaviors such as conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder and cutting), parenting and couples and tend to utilize several different modalities including solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy and incorporate mindfulness. I look at things …systemically and how we are all connected in order to make a whole.

I am currently offering online services. You don’t have to load up the kiddos and drive them to appointments, stress over finding a sitter, or worry about taking time off work. You can schedule during school hours, during naptime, snack time, while the kids are at a playdate, during your lunch break at work, or after the kids are asleep.
