Dr. Erica W Hwang, MD

I love this doctor. She is responsive, she listens, she's straightforward. You know the special course that they teach in medical school on how to be arrogant? She didn't take it. Today, she called me asap with very reassuring medical information. She really listens - and, is respectful. Typically, she's full and not accepting new patients. HOWEVER, I've been very happy with the docs in her group who cover for her. And the med techs in the back are all very nice people; and they do painless blood draws. Definitely a keeper.

Recently switched internists and couldn't have made a batter choice. Empathic, caring, patient-oriented, knowledgable and offered new insights. Always has a smile on her face.

I have been seeing Dr. Hwang since 1996. Because Dr. Hwang is an extraordinary professional who cares about her patient’s well-being. I have followed her from two other offices. Over the years she has been at my side helping me address a number of medical issues that have occurred. In addition she has not been afraid to help me find a specialist when the medical issue called for one. During those times she has also followed up to ensure those doctors were helping me and checking to see if I needed more medical assistance. It is also apparent that she keeps up with the latest information in our rapidly changing medical environment and helps me understands alternatives available. I sincerely appreciate her medical expertise in keeping me healthy as well as my two daughters. I highly recommend Dr. Hwang if you want a doctor who is at the top of her profession.

I have multiple chronic conditions, so I have been to dozens of doctors, and I know that Dr. Hwang is the best of the best! She is kind and warm, always remembering little details about me from past visits, and she has vast medical knowledge even about rare disorders. Truly a wonderful doctor and person.

I started with Dr. Hwang before she was at Bethesda Physicians Assoc. and followed her, even though she is now out of my insurance network. It is hard to find a doctor who gives you time as well as their knowledge and practices good medicine. She is caring, efficient, sensitive and thorough--a great doctor. Dr. Hwang was friendly, professional and easy to talk to. She took plenty of time to talk with me and get a full medical history before doing my exam.
