Dr. Erica D Weinstein, MD

Dr. Weinstein is an excellent doctor who provided great care during my first pregnancy. She is knowledgeable and experienced with a pleasant and engaging bedside manner. She takes the time to answer questions, explore options and provide medical advice. I felt very secure knowing that she was responsible for my care. Additionally, her nursing staff at the Upper West Side practice are all very kind and skilled. I highly recommend her.

Excellent, Knowledgeable, patient, considerate, respectful. conveys vital information so that the patient can understand.

I went in for a normal GYN visit and felt that she was very nice and communicative but not necessarily overly chatty. Taking one star off because I felt she could have communicated with me better about the birth control she prescribed for me. Overall, I think she is a no-nonsense, no-fuss doctor and wouldn't expect to be coddled by her. She is straightforward and to the point.

Very approachable and thorough

Dr. Weinstein was friendly, kind, and made sure to ask if I had any questions! I was just there for a routine exam but she made me feel comfortable and didn't rush away immediately like most appointments. I will definitely go back to her.

The staff was efficient and professional, and the doctor's assistant was pleasant and warm. I had the weird experience of not being able to locate the small lump I had found next to my breast, and the doctor couldn't locate it, either. Her manner during my consultation and examination was professional and kind. She referred me to Park Radiology, which I discovered later has closed. The person who answered the radiology phone recommended another place that is more convenient. How can I rate her medical expertise on this first visit, though? If the lump proves cancerous, then I'll go back to her and will get more information. If it's benign, then everyone is lucky. The thing is, I get love from my family. What I want from a physician is knowledge, expertise, and reasonable humankindness. So far, that's what Dr. Weinstein provided.

Dr. Weinstein was very attentive, inquisitive and careful. She made a gyno checkup a pleasure. The entire staff were friendly, professional and warm.

Dr. Weinstein is absolutely amazing and so wonderful! So glad I decided to switch my care over to her during my pregnancy. She has great bedside manners and she listened to each day one of my concerns and answered every single question I had and made me feel at ease and comfortable. Best and most special part is that she delivered my baby boy!

I wasn’t going to write a review since she had delivered my baby two years ago, but now i just delivered my second with another doctor I can truly grasp the differences in doctors during birth. Dr Weinstein was on call when I had my first baby. I was in the room since midnight, but I didn’t see her until 2pm next day when she came in to break my water. She didn’t give me any update on my progress. Two hours later I felt i might have pooped my bed and was too embarrassed to ask the nurse. At 6pm I finally asked the nurse if i made a mess down there, that’s when the nurse asked “how long have you been feeling like that?” Sure enough when dr. Weinstein came back I was 10 cm and +2 station. She left the room and asked me to do practice pushes with the nurse. I practiced two pushes and then nurse screamed to stop as she saw the head already, then she had to go out and find the doctor. Baby came out within minute after dr Weinstein came back. The baby was so tiny at 5lbs but I got a 3rd… degree tear, and it took her 30+ min to fix me up. The postpartum recovery down there took nearly a month and the stitches felt so painful. I had gone through so many ice packs and numbing sprays and could sit for a while. I would have thought this is how things should have been until I delivered my second last week with my regular OB. It was a way harder labor process but my OB was able to avoid a c section and guided me through a fully medicated (primed for csection) vaginal delivery. Baby came out 7lbs with barely any tear. Now 1 week postpartum I can barely feel anything down there. I know that each pregnancy is different, and second time around your body behaves differently from the first time, but the two deliveries i had were night and day. I’m forever grateful for not having to go through a csection for my second and glad that I didn’t get dr Weinstein for this delivery!
